2016 BMW 320i xDrive Full Tour & Review | TestDrive Legacy

Today we take a look at BMW's entry level sedan, the 2016 BMW 320i xDrive with Sport Line package. The 320i's MSRP is $46,149CND with the optional Sport Line package which adds $3,300 to the price but includes Park Distance Control for the front and rear, front sport seats with heat, leather upholstery and high quality trim, and a sport heated steering wheel.
This review shows the interior features of the car along with our opinion about it's options. We'll have a detailed video coming later on showing the iDrive options and another video with a test drive of the car.

    In order to turn off the music after you turn off the car, you have to press on the start/off button one more time. I hope that helps.

    It does, thanks! I finally discovered that when I shot the video for the X3 xDrive 28d little while after. It's a change I wasn't accustomed to with my older BMW :)

    Victor Mata that's because press two times in order to fully turn off your car. Just like the old key, your turn two section to pull out the key. But when you just press one time and lock the car I think it still fully turn off the car after you lock the car for a while.

    Really helpful video...too bad you didn’t talk about the space and confort for riders on the back seat. It would’ve been nice to pop open the trunk and engine compartments and tell us a bit about both. Specific gas mileage?

    Between 2016 and 2017 there shouldn't have been any noticeable differences. The 2016 model year was the facelift, so it has a slightly different look from a 2015, along with different engine tunes.

    We ended up filming a second video on the driving segment on this car, it's one of our first car videos and the format of this show has changed significantly since then. Overall the depreciation on these are huge, it's great to pick up one as a certified pre-owned to get a really good deal.

    Better than the older 3 Series models like the E46. I'm quite comfortable sitting in the driver's seat of the F30 where as the E46 felt tight. BMW has definitely made their interiors feel larger as time goes on.

    Definitely not a good sign on a 5 year old car. BMW doesn't have the best track record for interior plastics like their cup holders, but you'd expect them to last a lot longer than 5 years.

    At about 40k for a new base model the 320i is hopelessly overpriced. Fake leather seats and bland interior in base trim and only 180 horsepower under the hood from the noisy turbo four popper. Same power as a Camry 2.5 XLE w/o the notoriously unreliable BMW reputation for 15K less.

  • @PRNTestDrive

    @PRNTestDrive

    7 жыл бұрын

    Good points. $40k is a lot for essentially a badge. I don't understand the reason for buying a luxury brand but getting the base model, it's only to be able to show off the badge. It's one of the reasons I don't plan on buying a new car of any make, much better deals to be had on pre-owned fully loaded models.

  • @melvinjohnson7033

    @melvinjohnson7033

    Agree 100% on the pre owned luxury makes. Big depreciation on a one or two year old car plus if its a factory certified BMW etc you get a nice (hopefully) low milage car with the extended factory warranty.

  • @opmike343

    @opmike343

    Paid 19K for my used 320i with navigation, M sport wheel and suspension, 6 speed manual, etc. Wouldn't dare pay 40K for it, but it's an awesome car once you start to take advantage of that German luxury car depreciation. Also, I know it's a point of many an internet argument, but I don't feel the Sensatec seats are a downgrade for leather. Sure, you don't get the smell or the "clout" that comes from them being "genuine leather." But you do get a set of seats that are very low maintenance, have better grip, and hard to distinguish from the real leather alternatives. I always see it as just another seating options like cloth or alcantara instead of trying to compare it to whether or not it's leather.

    The best thing I discovered on BMW CDN website- you could lease their pre-owned cars with CPO which extends your basic 4/80k warranty to 6/160K! for a person like me who doesn't want the same car more than 3 years why paying for the full amount when we could lease a used pre-owned with all the bells and whistles vs leasing the new base model!
