2016 Audi Q3 Quattro Premium Car Review

There’s a lot to like with Audi’s smallest crossover. Just understand the same kind of money buys a roomier vehicle with more technology.

Don't care that this video is 4 years old; We've had our 2016 for a year now and absolutely love it. Great vehicle (and very reliable as well). Power is a bit lacking, but it still has enough torque to get off the line well (nothing a tune couldn't fix) and it handles excellently. It's a shame that the new 2020 models feel so much cheaper in the interior (despite a more updated MMI system) as it doesn't inspire an upgrade from this car. They really did a good job with this one.

I really love your reviews !! they are straight forward and use full...indeed we have this car but the one before the face lifted one...it is indeed a pretty amazing package...my only opinion is that i think the older one looks much better...Keep it up (y)

I have a '14 Tiguan and it had the same engine but different and and trans and it is very peppy. It's not fancy at all but for $27,500 it's a good little hatch

This is one of those vehicles where people say "sure it's slower, less fuel efficient, too small to have much utility, the interior isn't as good, the seats nothing special, handling only decent, and it costs $40 grand, but it's great! These things sell because they get people into prestige brands at the lowest price possible. Leased or financed over 72 months, of course.

I'm shopping this against the X1. Which would you advise? TO be frugal, I'm considering going FWD with 4 excellent winter tires. I've done this with past vehicles and find it a great cost-containing approach.

+Paul Connolly I would advise driving them both and then make a decision. Hard for me to know what turns your crank so I hesitate giving advice. Cost containing? Listen to the end of the video...

Get a CX-5. Much cheaper and you can get a lot of options on it that would make it very comfortable and still cheaper than a Q3 or X1.

Well done again, T.V. Can't consider the Q3 as it seems like I'd be buying an (even more) overpriced Tiguan (which my wife owns). I like the thought about the CX-5 for comparison.

The 2018 audi q3 in mainland China is still using the style of 2016 Audi q3 USA .and that is so funny.Untill 2019 the new q3 model changed!I am so disappoint to see that.

Ciao Tom. Great review, as usual. Do you know if the Q3 will be making use of the MQ_ platform in the near future? My wife drives a X1 with the 2.0 I-4 Turbo ZF8spd. Great vehicle! They're quite common here north of the 49th. Thanks.

+Mario Dalla Riva When it's redesigned it will go to MQB structure. That's got to be a few years away.

+Γιώργος Παπαδόπουλος Don't think so, rides on the same platform as the current Tiguan. The new Tiguan is MQB based.

The side by side comparison of the Q5 and Q3 proves that Audi has the absolute laziest design team in the auto industry

My grandmother has a 2015 Q3. I drove it a fair bit and came away neither impressed or unimpressed. The interior quality is great (typical of Audi/VW), but the car didn't seem to have much character. Changing the driving mode may have helped, but either way I didn't really feel any attachment. I actually enjoyed driving my aunt's 2015 Outback more.

Just get a Honda Fit. Or the Mazda, as he says. All these crossovers try so hard, and fail harder for the price tag. Also, watch Adam ruins everything on car dealerships... Be sure to give them a hard time (not the salesmen, but the industry).

The VW Tiguan looks better, its the exact same size and platform, plus its something like 5K cheaper.
