2016 Audi A6 3.0T quattro - WR TV POV Test Drive

This week we’re at the helm of Audi’s mid-sized sports sedan, the A6. This particular model gets a zestier power train than the manual gearbox-equipped A5 coupe we recently tested, here powered by a supercharged 3.0-liter V6 making 333 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque, rather than the 220 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque generated by the turbocharged 2.0-liter four cylinder that powered the A5.
Naturally, the A6 features Audi's Quattro all-wheel drive system, here with a 40:60 torque split. Power gets routed to all four wheels by way of an 8-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifting.
Our tester came well appointed with the S Line Sport package (sport suspension and interior/exterior accents), the Prestige package (heads-up display, LED headlights, premium audio), and the Black Optic package, which includes the 10-spoke, titanium finish 20-inch wheels wrapped in high performance rubber.
While the base 2015 Audi A6 3.0T can be had for $57,400, with the included options this A6's price tag hits $66,875 with destination.

I absolutely love this car. It makes me question if its even worth it getting the S6, when this is more efficient, and pretty powerful as well. I love cars that have an understated, sleek and sophisticated, clean look.

I think the power of the 3.0 litre is plenty considering it offers S4 level performance and it can be had for a slight discount depending on where you look. My brother had a 17 that was good for 60 in around 4.5-4.7 seconds (4.58 was our best run). If you'd like to tune it and add some bolt ons you can definitely get into the high 3s range for less than S6 pricing

around 5, if you use the arrow keys while on a computer it lets you skip through the video in 5 seconds bits. If you skip 5 seconds back the moment he hits 60, the car is just starting to move
Really quick and powerful but I wish it had the exhaust note of the S4. Same engine if I'm not mistaken

It's a (Eaton I think) roots supercharger, and the stock tune maxes out at ~12psi around 5K rpm before quickly bleeding off, but the stock supercharger can do around 13-14psi iirc up to redline with a stage 1 tune.

This engine for the audi is very reliable. You can put well over 200k miles on it even with a tune. Only things I've heard that go bad is the timing chain and catalytic converter. I'm in the process of buying one here within a month. It's a 2016 a6 s line with 84k miles on it for 17k. I'm gonna put the apr stage 2 plus tune in it,intercooler,exhaust,intake and bov. Try to make it fun.

Yikes this over all of them bmw is out of the question worst in every way Lexus has worse interior and exterior just a tad more realizable this is really realiable
