Have a 2016 5700xe pulling super b chip trailers around bc she has never let me down gets me home every day love this truck nice ride! Got her back in Oct 2016 have 230000 kms and no problems. a well built truck

Don't believe him. I hate your videos because you morons primarily focus only on the outside of the vehicle or on the driver functions, but that's what drivers already see all day long at the truck stops. All most drivers want to see is the living area and the amenities. However, your videos rarely ever focus on those parts of the trucks and when it does, it's very briefly and from horrible angles. Hence, I usually skip your videos altogether as your videos all suck. As I only clicked on this particular video by accident, scanned ahead to see the living area, then downvoted you guys as usual because you guys suck.

Shame the interior wasn't better lit, I'd also recommend maybe altering the music vs looping such a short track I ended up muting it. Far as the truck it's self goes strange to see the air and electric lines mounted so far back from the cab. Also what is that dial at 4:45 beneath the steer column?

+Grzegorz Bankowski the steering wheel and the switches for the retarder or the hazards are from the actros mp4 because western star are in the same company as merceds-benz (daimler)

I'd trade you my 1996 W900l with a 3406e Cat for that new Western Star with that DD15! That is a beautiful truck. Of course its gotta have a 13sp tranny in it but i still love that truck. Put together nicely too!

I think its only begining, new trucks are always with base engines. BUT even with 505 it will go in mountain serpantines wery well, cose there god damn 15 litres!

505 hp peak is at 1800 RPM and the torque peak will be a hair over 1000.

Pretty much bought this truck on some of the videos that were produced on the 5700. Pretty disappointed on the pulling power of the 505 DD15. I've got well of 3 million miles of driving experience with 5 different trucks and engines. With the DD15 and 13spd I've lost well over 10 miles per hour pulling speed on pretty much most of the hills that I climb.And that's comparing it to the ISX 450 and the ISX 475

My Crashcadia has a 505 horse speced engine, a direct drive DT12 and 2.53 downspeed speced gears. If I want to get over any decent hill, I've got to run the truck up to 75 or more to have a fighting chance of not bleeding off enough speed to drop gears. Furthermore, this truck came with low profile tires, and the last truck I drove had the same gearing and tall tires; and hooked better as well as gave back much better economy. I'm not a fan of downspeed specing nor am I happy with the direction Daimler took Freightliner.
You can keep your conventional's, give me a cab over any day.
The problem is that it has a DT12 auto transmission. While the DT12 is good for an automatic anything but an Eaton-Fuller Super 13 or Super 18 is crap.
