Great test drive, Barrie! :) We drove one of these from Surrey (near London) to Scotland and back, as a holiday hire vehicle, on one tank of diesel - yes, ONE! Very very economical - it even managed to use that tank for all of the driving we did up there; very impressive when you consider the fact that the model we used was a six seater, so had even more weight on board and we were also carrying three bikes in the back. Lovely to drive and just a general all-round great vehicle to own; didn’t want to return it! Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a van. :)

I would say Transporter, followed by the other two, i do really like all of them, but there are so many Transits stolen you have to make sure you have good security locks and a tracker fitted, if you buy second hand and they are already fitted, then perhaps transit second, but all down to personal choice

Driven the transit custom great drivers van and also the renault trafic which is essentially a vivaro great van on fuel compared to custom. Never driven transporter, sat in mates but not to great on build quality coming from vw brand caddy was better quality inside. Cheers barry

In my opinion the Vivaro is hands down the better of the three. My 140ps vivaro returns 40mpg and cost my 14k plus vat. My VW T6 150ps only returns 32mpg and cost 28k plus vat. The Custom is a little overpriced with shocking security.

@@d2cdl yeah driving the vivaro myself now after the custom, not as good handling as the custom but very refined and good on fuel. They have gone the wrong path with the new vivaro bought by psa now will be using the dispatch expert platform . Very bad move

The new trafic which is same van as the vivaro not the new vivaro but the new trafic now has an auto gearbox

Mine is 2016 im on 3rd gearbox had turbos replaced side loading doors rattle worse then a 30 year old van oh and guess what its going back in on the 18th of this month for gearbox repair again they are utter shit who ever reads this and wants 1 go throw ya money off a bridge into water thats what it feels lile i have done with my money they are CRAP vauxhall customer service is even worse

dale Webb we’ve sold loads and have had no problems at all, at the risk of upsetting you, have you considered pressing the clutch in when your changing gear, keep needing new gearboxes sounds an awful lot like pilot error to me 🤔

dale Webb feel your pain dude...I had a brand new corsa vxr, 2 gearbox repairs then a brand new box, windscreen wiper system fault then a full replacement which the car went in 8 times for, luckily everything under warranty...Vauxhall’s customer service is decent I cannot fault them however Vauxhall’s build quality is utter shit
