Putting Wedge behind wheels is more important than stand support. The primary hazard is wheel rolling, ramps are not likely to collapse.

I totally agree with you. I buy more expensive Fram filters like extra guar or tough guard and no problems.

You did a pretty good job for someone who didn't read the instructions (whoops, then later you started reading them in the middle of preparing the filter) and likely didn't watch a bunch of other videos on the subject first. You're using a properly designed oil filter cap wrench and you did not use a tool to remove o-rings which is the right way to do the job (no pick or screwdriver). Guess I spoke too soon-then you grabbed a screwdriver!

saad alsaedy I am glad i could help. I just want to point it out, there are many people out there who will tell you that Fram full synthetic filters are crap,bu it's their opinions. I have been using Fram more expensive synthetic oil filters for many miles, no problems. Also as you can see in my video, Rhino ramps are awsome.

The drain plug on the oil pan has a crush washer that needs to be replaced each time you take out the drain plug. You didn't seem to know what it was- you called it a rubber washer.

Toyota doesn't use a crush washer for their drain plugs like Subaru does, it's a paper/fiber type washer. They are awesome washers, I reuse them for a few oil changes and never had problem with them leaking. I wouldn't do that on the crush washer type washers though.

Last step is start the engine- wait for the oil pressure indicator to go off- 10 seconds max- and check underneath for oil leaks before backing off the ramp and turning off the engine. This was an excruciating and inept oil change and way too long. When the vehicle is on flat surface and oil filter is full from running the vehicle , and 10 minutes go by for the oil to drain down from the top of the engine- check the oil level again.

Informative video and putting the jacks in place as a safety backup measure was good too. However the most important safety item your overlooked, blocks for your back wheels to prevent your car from rolling back.

Don't need any of that stuff when you're on ramps. It's in Park plus the parking brake is engaged. Plus jack stands which are also not needed but would act as wheel chocks if anything impossible was to happen.

@@waydmah9561 So I'm stupid. Even if the parking brake failed it's still in Park and he has jack stands under it which would act as chocks. How many back-up measures do you need to take? If you park on a hill on a public street do you chock your wheels? I'll bet you don't. If you're working under the front of your car and for some reason the car rolls backwards off the ramps is it going to roll onto you? No, it's going to roll away from you. Now I'm not going to call anyone stupid but... Hello McFly...

Usually DOUBLE security methods are utilized. I have only one set of key to my car. So i plan to get second set of key as backup, though i have never ever lost car key, nor home key.

A little advice from down under, its the same set up as my Highlander so don't over tighten the oil filter housing.10-20-30nm. You will need to convert that to your foot pounds. 10 on the filter drain. 20 on the filter housing. 30 on the sump plug.

The numbers you gave are ft.lbs. Drainbolt on oil pan = 30 lb.ft. Oil filter cap = 18 lb.ft. Oil filter cap drainbolt = 9 lb.ft.

Tape weight torque. In all reality it's pounds per square inch😮 or cubic ft. So it's 18ft ^3

Nazarettos first of all fram is universally accepted as shit I don't have to argue with you , they are sold at Walmart for a reason. Second Mobil 1 , Walmart ,again is not "full synthetic". For an amateur you do a great job but just using the wrong products.

Most major oil companies such as Pennzoil, Castrol, Mobil 1 are not fully synthetic. Most are hydrocracked oils that perform similar to FULLY synthetic oils. Truly synthetic oils ( Group VI and V) are Amsoil Signature Series and Redline oils. Mobil 1 is not fully synthetic but it does contain some synthetic base stocks. Just not fully.
