2015 Subaru Forester REPLACING MUFFLER DIY with a WALKER exhaust quiet flow muffler

This is me replacing my muffler. You will need a longer size 14 socket and a size 14 wrench.
You will also need PB blaster. This is critical, and makes your life easier to remove the rusted on bolts.
I bought my muffler online from summit racing equipment:
Walker Exhaust 21904 - Walker Quiet-Flow SS Mufflers
And just to let you know, I bought the wrong exhaust gasket from Amazon so I’m not sure which one you’re gonna need I just made do with what I had.
 I do recommend you buy some new bolts and nuts, which I forgot to do. But the ones I had were still in decent condition.
This should apply to Subaru forester 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 etc and so forth single mufflers Subaru.
Lastly, don’t forget to wear eye, goggles and gloves!

I just did the same thing with the same car and the same Walker "Quiet Flow" muffler. The so-called "Quiet Flow" sounded like a lawn mower. I sent it back and bought a Subaru OEM muffler. It's nice and quiet now. Don't go cheap on this one.

My 18 outback does the same thing.
I have the exact same noise
mine went at around 155000 miles. Just rattles but still works.
Walker 31556 - muffler to resonator gasket. Hint - the OEM gasket 44011-SG000 costs the same and is made better.

Does the walker exhaust give you some more HP? And what about the boxter engine sound?

It’s pretty much sounds the same and runs like OEM. It’s a great price. I would recommend it.
