RG, your intense personality and willingness to "thumb your nose" at the titanic factory efforts year after year makes all of us Americans very proud. I have no doubt that if you can make it through the first few days with no significant loss in time, you will be there at the end. How proud you must be of the team and effort you have put together this year. Go RG!

I hope you also support the first-ever Spanish-built trophy truck! A small team lead by the official Spanish dealer for KING shocks built a Chevrolet-powered trophy truck for this 2015 Dakar Rally! The name is Herrator V8 Dakar and will wear #384. Here you have two photos of the beast 4.bp.blogspot.com/-V8NvZtA8yOg/VBdJl2BhTgI/AAAAAAAADEY/A01YbIiw3c4/s1600/herrator1.jpg 1.bp.blogspot.com/-kpBiKrQFwqc/VBdJpuBL1uI/AAAAAAAADEo/c0QfkRp9EWs/s1600/herrator3.jpg

I’ve always been a fan of Robby Gordon especially when he raced in Nascar & won his first race on an oval of all tracks for Robby to win on as most people know he’s a road course ace but he showed promise on ovals as well obviously with a win in cup. Also in this video I thought it was cool that Robby had Christian Schmidt flown in who is a “Dakar Inspector” to check out his truck & wanted not only the “Dakar Inspector” to know that it was legal but all of his fans & haters that if I win or I’m at least running up front & kicking a$$ & taking names then there’s absolutely no excuse for haters to give him a rough time other than to just simply not like him because he’s Robby Gordon or an American lol!! Because as Robby Gordon stated in this video is that he was up agains’t some really big factory teams with Toyota Etc with very deep pockets ($$$)!! But in saying that I don’t think Robby Gordon is hurting for “$$$” neither though as you can see the size of his monstrous race shop in which I wonder if that shop was the shop that he used when he was running his own “Nascar Exfinity & Cup Series” Team? Plus Robby has had that famous bright orange “Speed Energy” sponsorship all the way back to his Nascar Racing efforts!! :-)

Hey guys im not a machanic or smth like that but im watching dakar for like 12years. my favorite driver of course is Benediktas Vanagas (Lithuania) because im from LT but for leaders, like top 10 i allways for Robby Gordon. i see 1 problem (u fast and u know how to drive) but u have to get 60% front wheels, 40% rear (4/4) for cornering and then u will have a chance to get there. =)

My guess would be it had the logo on it already from the factory and they installed it upside down because they relocated the radiator hoses for the custom front end.

eliasdiseno1 I don't think that the team that has won the WRC title like 4-5 times (group B and WRC era) and the very Dakar Rally another 2-3 times would build something that does not work as planned. These guys only needed 3 years to get Audi out of the winner's circle of the Le Mans 24 hours, they broke an 8-win streak!

Sorry but the _20 possible winners_ is a complete lie. Not even in the motorbike class, where manufacturers have gone crazy and we've had as much as 6 factory teams with like 15 bikes in the past years, you get that much of parity. Let's analyse the efforts: · *Mini*: four competitive cars. Rest go for pretty rich gentleman racers that have no option whatsoever. They are there to make the owner of X-raid richer, for the experience and to maybe help one of the competitive cars · *Peugeot*: three cars. All pretty much equal but Stephane Peterhansel has never driven an RWD car competitively and Cyril Despres is a rookie in the car class (multi-time bike winner, though) · *Toyota*: four-five "good" cars. Except for Giniel de Villiers, nobody is truly competitive with the Lexus V8-powered HiLux (in FIA T1 cars you can power your vehicle using an engine from the same automotive group. Mini engines come from BMW, for example) · *FORD*: one car from 2014 and that was already a joke back then So, yeah, there are only like 10 possible winners. Anybody else needs a damn holocaust to happen. If the 2015 Dakar Rally winner is not in this list I will chop my balls off: · Roma · al-Attiyah · Terranova · Holowczyc · Chicherit · Sainz · Peterhansel · Despres · Gordon · de Villiers

I agree with the general consent but Dakar has thrown up curveballs in the past. Hope that last sentence doesn't come back to haunt you! LOL! In any case, I feel there is more competition this year than in years past.

Chuck Hickl The crazy years were back in the late 90s, when regulations forced Mitsubishi and most guys to throw their prototypes to the trash and race the modified Pajeros. In 1999-2001 there was uncertainty, most Pajeros (in Spain we call them Monteros because a "pajero" is a wanker) were competitive in a way and you had things like the 3-speed FORD Ranger Protruck and the Schlesser buggies Now? Not so much. The Minis are great, Peugeot is taking it seriously and that's pretty much all. Only a really big oddball would make Gordon or a Toyota the winner

Love Gordon, but the 'Drama' in this show is a joke. If they're spending so much time on chassis #2 that isn't even going to Dakar, they can't be short on time yet at all.
