2015 Porsche Macan Turbo Review

When it was announced in November of 2010 as a development project, and then formally announced in March of 2011, many did not know how the new "baby Cayenne" would be perceived by the public and especially Porsche purists. Nonetheless, almost 10 years since its initial announcement, the Porsche Macan has been the brand's top seller, outpacing the Cayenne SUV.
When we took delivery of our Macan Turbo back in 2014, we were new to the Porsche brand and had no clue what the company was all about. Now, more than 6 years later this car has brought nothing but miles of smiles.
I hope you enjoy this brief review and test drive of, in my opinion, one of the best all-around Porsche's you can buy TODAY. It is a mixture of being ridiculously fast, utilitarian, and comfortably luxurious.

Wow this car is like twin of ours😆. We have the 2015 turbo with same rhodium silver and spyder wheels. Just silver window trim and no sport exhaust. Full leather red interior. It is a fantastic car indeed 😆

I’ve got 2018 Macan Turbo just like yours but in white. I love it. I agree that the design of it is way better than the newer ones. Feels just like a sport car even for me, coming from an Evo X.
I love the original Macan. Bigger engine. More power can be extracted when sooping it up.

Love the car, I have the same model. Just a note: turbo chargers are inside the v engine, what you point out to are the air filters 😊
I test drive a 2015 Turbo today but it didn’t have Sport Plus, just Sport. Is that an upgrade?
How did you wire the radar detector? I’m picking up my Macan turbo in 2 days, super excited

The mount was placed right below the rearview mirror and the wire was pushed up into the headliner out of site, down the left side pillar and into the electrical box in the door jam. It was super simple to do and looks great without any wires showing.

Have a very alike macan in sight, same year, what can I expect from your perspective? It has 62k miles on it.

I own a Macan turbo 2015. Make sure the transfer case has been replaced. It’s the only part that went bad on my Macan. AX model is the newest beefest transfer case out there. Make sure it doesn’t hesitate when kicking it down. That vibration is the sign of bad tc.
Do you know if the sport exhaust gives the rounded exhaust rather than the normal squared turbo exhaust?

This is the sport exhaust and featured the rounded tips. Normal exhaust has squared off tips!

@@movieclipz5034 From the factory, no. But I am sure from an aftermarket place you probably could. I think the square tips do look better, but I presume the round tips are that shape because the baffle flap inside has to also be circular for it to work properly.
Have you had any problems with it

I own the same car. In my opinion it's the best Macan. New ones are just a replica. 3.6 liter and a sport exhaust make all the difference.

Absolutely. I think the 3.6L has a very different and distinct sound when compared to the newer model Macan with the 2.9L. The new flagship Macan GTS (which is replacing the Turbo as top trim) sounds exactly like an Audi S4 and virtually any other 2L turbo engine on the market.
