Great video! One of the reasons I had to go ahead and buy the used 2015 SRT that was at our local dealership. I would've always regretted if I didn't.

Great review and I love the new jeep srt. I agree with what you said on the value...it seems to be a great bang for the buck. Personally I would improve the suspension/wheels/tires to be comfortable on the occasional deviation off the road.

Very very great review...it actually made me very comfortable with the idea of going for the SRT and maybe leaving the track hawk to speed demons lol...its nice to have the power but also the jeep attributes...so i may do a test drive to see if i can truly live with the truck on a day to day basis

I had a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and I loved it. It wasn't quite the price tag that this one is, but if I had the money, I would definitely choose a jeep again. It was an awesome vehicle to own and I think your partner is smart to want the SRT. The vehicle that you test drove had a lot more options on it than I had, but the Laredo was fantastic as well.

Yes, absolutely. I didn't even use a lot of options on that Jeep. The SRT looks a bit more comfy though. :-) I had money, but not quite that much. :-) Thanks for the great reviews btw.

Excellent review! Nicely done. I'm looking into possibly picking up a used '15 GC SRT and this was the most thorough review I have found. My only complaint in viewing this is that the paddle shifters don't override the automatic shifts. I would prefer that they let you hold a gear if you choose. I've never owned an automatic car so I was really curious to see how the paddle shifters were set up. Looking forward to test driving this beast!

I have a 2015 jeep grand cherokee altitude and it will allow you to hold it in gear maybe you have to be in sport mode.

I don't think it overrides when placed in sport or track mode but I may be wrong. Looks like he tested it in normal.

I have a 2015 srt charger u have to put the stick in manual for the truck to stay in manual or it will change gears for u it will switch back to auto

Very helpful review...I just picked up a used one. Didn't know about the radio controls on the back of the steering wheel! Strange how I didn't notice the launch control button either, which brought me here. So far, 0-60 in 5.0 sec in Track Mode, without launch control button. Previous owners got a best of 4.7 sec. Thanks for the info

@@deynardt2761 I was able to get it down to 4.5 sec, last fall, cool weather, near empty fuel tank, launch control engaged. It's been doing 4.6 - 4.7 under normal south Texas conditions lately

On right setting it will hold gear, bounce(gently) off limiter, gauge cluster will "ignite" in flame type graphics until you shift. On down shifts it will blip engine. There is a slight fuel dump in exhaust on upshifts(standard exhaust) I'll assume more noticeable if you change rear cans. Out of the box..... A real drivers car. Gives me a massive fat! Putting deposit down very soon on a 2015 with about 50,000km. Still new, still fresh, zero wear & tear. Yep, carbon fibre trim included. $54,000AU, 2019. 👍👍💙💙🇦🇺🇦🇺

Ohhhhh man if they put the Hellcat in this SUV that would make it the king of all performance SUV's. That would even be more power than the G65 which has a Twin Turbo V12! With the G65 set to come to the US finally in 2016 I would bet that Hellcat configuration could be on the table for sure! Who wants to spend $250,000 on a performance SUV??!!

where you in track mode while using the paddle shifter's? I think when you're in track mode it will give you complete control, except when coming to a complete stop the car will automatically shift into 1st gear

@Mike Parsons all the ZF transmission vehicles shift from 1st to 2nd gear even in shift mode to prevent any damage but 3rd through 8th it doesn't shift unless you shift it

+JD Deloney Thats not necessarily true.. If you are in sport or track mode it will not shift for you whatsoever. If you are in sport mode or track mode and select launch, it will shift automatically out of first gear to ensure perfect timing, after first gear you HAVE to shift. There are many videos of people bouncing the rev limiter who forget to use the paddle shift. So to recap, if you are in auto mode it will shift for you. If you are in sport or track mode feel free to bounce off the rev limiter all day until you blow that beautiful motor.

This is a very nice review. I'm hoping that by late 2017 they have the redesign model of the grand Cherokee. The actual model still very nice, and attractive. But is getting long in the tooth.

Can you manually open the lock on chrysler jeep vehicles like these?? When I say manually I mean not use the power locks but to lift the lock with your fingers?? I don't really see how we can use our hands to open the lock just in case for an electronic malfunction and the power locks dont open the doots how would you get out

There is an actual key hidden in the key fob so that you can open doors manually (At least that is what they had when I had my Jeep in 2013. I don't see why they would change such an important feature though.
