Thank you for this! I checked the manual and it didn’t say anything about changing the battery. It didn’t even say where on the car the opening was to use the physical key. Thank goodness for KZread.

Well done! Thank you for this. Your are correct. It is not intuitive - and might have broken it without your help. I wonder what happens if the battery goes completely dead. Is there anywhere to start the car with just the "valet key" ? hmmmm...

I am really glad it helped. I do not think you can start the car with “valet” key. I thought it only opened the glove box since the car was a push button start. But I never tried it so…. Haha. All the best. Matt & Kat (Things)

I don’t think you can start without the entire Fob. All I have ever been able to do with them is lock the glovebox. Hmm. Now I am curious.

My 2015 Honda CRV key fob uses a CR1320 battery instead of the 2032.
