All I can say is a supercharged 335kw V8 with GT- R Spec suspension and Brembo"s for under $60,000.Even if you don't like the looks its an absolute performance bargain. We Aussies will miss them when there gone V8 Holden's included.

NC NC Mitsubishi copied the design from Ford since the design of the FG X is a 2014 design and the lancers design is quite recent.

This username yeah and I have an FG X and I’m talking about the recent Evo design not the old one. The one with the LED daytime running lights. It might have the same shape as the old Evo but certain things have been updated to look like an FG X

The new falcon looks so good!

People can bag this car all they want but the fact of the matter is for the money its performance is second to none and if you want more performance it costs fuck all to get more power out of this thing compared to the Naturally Aspirated GM engines. As an all round package though the VF SSV is better with more technological features and up to the minute interior but when it comes to the drivetrain and pure performance this is leaps and bounds ahead.

I'm from the UK and I want one of these. Loved proper Australian fast Fords since seeing Mad Max as a kid. Truly the last of the V8s. Just as long as I can have it in matt black on gloss black. Actually, I'd also have it in standard MFP yellow, red, and blue...

Funny thing is that Ford America said no to an intercooler on the V8 Sprints. Just get it to market it's taken you to long. An intercooled Sprint in either XR8 or XR6 form would beat a GTS. I'm a Holden boy but I've got a lot of respect for the FG Falcon. Nice car. I actually bought one last year. 2011 XT. The standard 4.0 six is a nice engine.

Trust me. You don't. The fact that the Mustang is the only RWD Ford that exists now is not a good thing. It's simply because they're too hung up on their Ecoboost gimmick and too lazy to build a decent RWD product. Plus, they spent all their money on building F-Series trucks from beer cans.

Yeah they are fast. With it tuned they can reach 280 to a very close 300 kmph. At 250/260kmph it felt like the steering was almost gone the feel on the road. I believe this was the air rushing under the car. It probably weighs 500 kilograms lighter when travelling at 260 + put wings on her I bet she would fly?👍😂🇦🇺

Lexus V6 sedans output a solid 390 nm torque. They’re not “supercharged” figures, but very respectable and extremely reliable.

when you did the 60km > 110kmh pull, what gear was it in? that's a lot of torque!

No doubt, I believe they need to design a modern chassis. Seems all the ones they are using now are getting pretty dated. They should design it to be primarily rear wheel drive but with awd optional and use this awesome supercharged 5.0L and call it a Thunderbird!!! Things are really changing rapidly in the auto industry so I doubt they will ever build another V-8 sedan again.... which sucks! Bet we get stuck with some lame hybrid or plug in....At least the Tesla kicks ass!

The front end looks like shit, it's like a compromise ugly front end but you get the GT335 engine. Other than that awesome performance.

Beautiful car on the outside. Unfortunately cannot say the same for the interior tho, very outdated. If I had to choose between this or a Holden ss same year, i would choose the commodore simply because the interior is much nice

I took a 2014 SSV Redline for a drive on Saturday, loved it. But doesn't have the V8 sound like an XR8 :( Sadly I cant afford 60k so I will either have to settle for the SSV or hold off for an XR8 in the next 12 months.

Of the last 750 (all numbered) manufactured I managed to get 706 .

Unlike the Daewoo designed VF Holden,this XR8 even sounds better than the overrated LSA.

In my honest opinion, why would ford & holden put the bi mode exhaust on for when people are going to rip it out and put a louder exhaust on ? Plus the bi mode exhaust sounds tinny and doesn't have a growl to it...

Dude, all you have to do is pull the black vacuum line (that runs from the engine) off the bimodal near the exhaust tip on the passenger side. Kink it and secure with a cable tie. Bimodal deactivated :-)

If only they put the same engine in the Taurus SHO...

It capable of 4.5 if you run the right tyres and launch properly...thats before you bolt a intercooler on. For the American fans of the Falcon the Mustangs IRS is a direct copy pretty much of the Falcons dual link IRS...The Commodorre has mostly Chinese bits and is way less tough than a Falcon. Germans know of GTHO...The Holden 6.2 Chevy is heavy and inpredes the car handling especially at the front...The XR6 turbo running a Inline 6 Turbo is also a missile. Please send to USA and get ride of the FWD Ford Walrus and Fusion .

Bullcrap this car is 1 second faster 0-100 klm/hr than the stock 225KW VY LS1 calais i have , and there are holdens that would leave this car for dead , fords have high weight to power ratios meaning they weigh too much to really take advantage of power

Geese the front end looks so much like a Mustang. With forced induction of a V8 I sincerely thought it would make way more power and torque. Its seems its actually less power than my VE Commodore 416ci in N/A trim with A6 and running 4.11 diff gears? Mind you the cam on mine is "Tremaniac" Racing Engine Build with overkill custom grind that would power the space shuttle at 5,000rpm to 7,500rpm. Mine is grumpy and lumpy as shit, useless and thirsty as a city traffic daily driver which I use every day. Oh well I suppose to each their own.
