I didn't have luck with AMSOIL power foam. I really like AMSOIL products but I had bad experience with this power foam. My mazda cx5 had only 38k miles and I used it for the first time I got P0421 catalytic converte related code and it wasn't going away. I tried cleared it multiple time and drove over 1k miles but that code was there and I heard rattling noise at idel over 3500 rpm. So I finally took it to mechanic and ended up replacing my catalytic converte. So be careful guys before using amsoil power foam. I had bad luck with. Thank you for the video man

I used power foam 40 years ago and it worked great. The old power foam foamed up much more. That dirt on the butterfly would have been gone in seconds with the old formula. I did a 76 Camaro with it and it smoked for 4 miles on the highway. I was an amsoil dealer from the late 70s to till 2002. The PI that they had 40 years ago was better and more concentrated.

Nice work, Rich. I didn't know about the AMSOIL Power Foam. I swear by AMSOIL P.I. because I've been using it for years. It's the only product of its kind that makes a noticeable improvement at the onset with a performance gain, as you report at the end. Between these products and persistent use of Shell V-Power, clean fuel and induction systems are attained.

I recommend when you coat your frame use a shop vaccume to blow/suck out anything inside of the frame, on top the frame, sitting in any cavities, and inside the cab sides. You would be suprised how much sand can get built up once you hit it with air. I also replace the factory cab hole tape with all weather gorilla tape. Spray inside the rockers then replace the tape, then spray the rest of the truck. Their are also welded supports that fill up with debris.

Hey man I’m really enjoying your videos on your new truck. I think I’m gonna try the throttle body spray on my 2015 5.0. I’m at 145,000 trouble free miles. I have a catch can on mine and I’ve never got more than 1 oz of oil from mine every 5,000 miles. I run marvel mystery oil or Berryman B12 through the tank every 5,000 miles, but I’d like to try the spray u did on this video just to see if I still have some build up. I know the 18-20 5.0 makes more power and everything, but it just seems like u never see much issues out of the 15-17 2nd gen 5.0 motors. Just seems those models didn’t get a lot of the issues the later gens got. Especially oil consumption. Really enjoying the new truck videos man 👍🏻 god bless and have a great thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! Very good stuff, Rich. I use Amsoil Heavy Duty Metal Protector. Look into that when you're ready to coat your frame. I apply every 2 years. I prefer that over fluid film. They also have a great 2a lubricant. The engine flush is very good for the money. It's probably not as good as the full BG service. But there is a much different price point to be fair. If you're going to use the cans to coat your truck, I suggest 4-6. I'd go 6 on the safe side.

Happy Thanksgiving, my man!! Little late in getting this out to you!! I can't explain it...the satisfaction of seeing all the junk come out of the tailpipe is so awesome!! You know, last week I picked up a can of the Sea Foam throttle body/upper cyl cleaner for my F250 6.2Lto do the same thing. I wish I'd waited. I've decided it's time to do the BG fuel system treatment. Question: are you going to change the oil next now that you've done the throttle body? If so, I'm sure ready to see that video! If you've answered that already, I apologize.

@@jefweb5043 If you wanted to reference it, the Seafoam warning was given a number of times on the channel, Scotty Kilmer. But I don't how you might find the episodes that he talked about Seafoam. Though you might see a listing for it by looking over his channel's home page. I've used BG fuel treatment and it's excellent, but pricey at about the $40 a can that I paid. I've used it twice and both times for the same issue with two different cars. They both had dead spots in the fuel gauge, and the BG fixed them both. I've been an AMSOIL customer for twenty-five years and I've never had a disappointment with any of their products. They're a company that doesn't fool around, everything that they make is excellent. If you start using their products, buying their Preferred Customer Membership works well as the membership price for every item is lower, and you won't see that lower price in any auto parts store. The Preferred Customer membership comes in one-year increments and the five-year membership saves you the most on membership. Also, you'll get their monthly magazine. But I'll forewarn you that you're not going to go through their web site in an hour or so. The web site is big, and they have every detail on every product. Their research papers are very informative. www.amsoil.com/

Hey man, been watching you for some time and to be fair you changed my opinion in some things. One of them was engine warm up. Now I only do 30 second than drive normal. I been around for some time I had car from the 70’s . Is very easy to be stuck in the past. But you are right. On new cars and oil is no longer needed. Now to get to my question: Please answer me this as you are proper trained in Ford. I bought a new Ford Transit, is on order will arrive in 2 months. Engine is 2.0 eco boost with 6 speed automatic. The limited version with all the stuff. Please be so kind and tell me, should I do a 1 or 2000 mile oil change as a brake in than every 5k or just 5 k ? Is this brake in still a thing or i am too old. 😅 I am thinking that I payed 50k for this car, if I do it I lose 100 gbp. Clean oil will not harm it. Thats for sure. But if there is no point well than … Also gear box 30 k ? Oil change or that need brake in too ? I payed a lot and very hard for this van. I need to look after it. Is my work car. Im a dairy engineer. Thanks a lot for your videos. Very useful. Looking forward to read your advice.

@@discerningmind we have 3 ford custom 2.0 eco boost in the company. They all had 25k oil changes as thats what dealer does. They are lease cars so we do not do oil change. If the engine blow up we do not care as they replace the car . They change oil at the 25k , van goes in to the dealership for it. They do all repairs under the lease contract. So, 1 van turbo died at 80k, second van that i drove turbo died at 110k, third van whistle like hell has 60k . I drive now a replacement van. Look, vans are grate, i love the van, this one has 20k. But poor oil change kills them. I bought my own now as is better for me to pull the expense. I do not want their service package. Is crap. I do not know what manual say. That's a lot of fluid and time to intentionally rinse 1/3 of the perimeter of the butterfly valve of a throttle body - before removing it from the vehicle to fithat can be remived with tonish cleaning it. If a goal is to clean things downstream of the throttle body, it would be better to clean the throttle body off-engine first, then feed the remaining content through the clean throttle body as fast as possible with the engine running. I've gotten good results 100% on-vehicle using a light brush and much less fluid with the engine off, but it requires a way to safely open the valve, which may not be possible on some vehicles. Some throttle bodies have a metallic lubricating coating around the pivot points to resist binding and sticking that can be removed with too much rubbing. btw, Smelling a burned product that is a known carcinogen isn't a good idea.
