C7 looks so good in Silver/White with Black rims!!! Now I am a huge GM fan boy and a huge Ferrari fan boy but I don't think anybody is cross shopping the two. Just saying.

So everyone is of course in an uproar because he made a comparison to Ferrari, can we not see the similarities & metamorphosis mention The looks ? Would it make you feel better to know that GM & Ferrari had been exchanging information swapping out useful technology tidbits in engineering components for the uses for development purposes for each other's manufacturing the next generation cars, this is exactly what we want ... Haven't you always wanted to drive a Ferrari or hypercar car ? Now you have your chance in a supercar why are we fighting something that's hopefully made more affordable for more people to enjoy this opportunity ... I always used to say why do they make the Viper & the Corvette so expensive that no one can afford it...... Well now it's finally come to a more reasonable price that I have the means to afford having a career.. Some one under their forties under the thirties can afford it finally, let's stop crying about how its not this Hypercar, or its not that because most you guys saying this could never afford this car let alone a Ferrari so please get your Life and get it straight

This is the best review I've seen on this channel! Such a funny, relatable guy

I never was a vett fan but I have to say this is the best one ever, I see them all day and when I see one outside of work I still take a double look.

I've owned a C5, C6, and C7 - and the C7 is hands down my favorite. After 6.5 years i still get a thrill everytime i drive the C7, its just and absolute joy to own and drive and quite trouble free. I'm only here because i want to add a C7 convertible to the stable now.

"they're not the only ones" is no excuse, I dont complain much about the recalls and all, but there are companies that do build quality cars out there.

Every jealous ricer and pretentious European seem to have conglomerated in the comments section. Only scroll down if you want to hear from the hater's.

Screw the haters FLD, the C7 is one tasty beast, and that was one damn good review. You could tell that this guy was truly enjoying himself with the vehicle, you could see it his face when he would slam through 2nd gear into 3rd. This guy rocks, keep up the good work FLD, your team is the BOMB!!

As far as styling goes, the only thing I don't like is that chrome strip on the front grille. The people complaining about the lack of circular taillights are the same ones who bitched about the switch from pop up headlights, to fixed ones. They'll get over it.

I just got one, OMG ! The removable glass top is just fine. Yes it goes fast, I can't wait to get over the break in period, but a deer walked out in front of me and it stops fast too!

Although I don't like the scream, I'd take a v12 vanquish. Its basically a ford.

I like how the side mirrors stick out like a Ferrari. However, I wished they had turn signal lights.

Comparing the base Stingray to a current Ferrari or McLaren is just about the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

***** The Stingray's interior is fine when compared with its competitors Audi R8, Porsche 911 Carrera, Jaguar F-Type, Alfa 4C, etc. The Stingray should be compared with those cars but comparing it with 200K supercars is still stupid.

***** The Stingray also has leather in the interior like the 4C but it doesn't have a carbon fiber tub. Then again most of the money in the 4C goes towards the carbon fiber tub. I personally prefer the style of the Audi R8's interior but the Stingray and the R8 both use similar materials Leather, Aluminum, Carbon fiber, soft touch plastic, etc. Corvettes aren't full of hard plastic anymore, like they were since the C4 generation. There are plenty of interior upgrades as an option. But as I said earlier comparing it to a $250k supercar is dumb. That's like comparing a Porsche Boxster to a 911 GT3 RS.

I love the angles. It's going back to the one I loved in the 70's. And people from my era are the ones who can afford it, LOL! 73K really???? Worth it though. I'd have to move to a warm place though bc I would want the convertible.

Now let's here all the euro fanboys whine about how the carbon fiber utilized is "cheap plastic" while the same carbon fiber used in overpriced Italian offerings are "space age materials". Then tell us how cars that can't outperform the Vette but cost 4 times as much have better interiors.

This is my response after coming back to watch this video and I in my opinion believe that a porsche 911 turbo S is better than this but also the new 488 GTB the styling is great and amazing performance 0-60 in 3 seconds and speaking of high HP the 488 GTB and McLaren 675LT both have more power and I know that the 675LT is a track car but they have crazy horsepower and not to mention a stock TurboS 911 does a quarter mile in 10.2 seconds that destroys that 1/4 mile just like tuned up American mucels but in all the way this car looks is great I like it in fact I look at purchasing it BUT it is not the end of the world and we both have different opinions but I prefer Euros over American although I love America and all of it's awesomeness but euros sorry

casey fultz i will put it like this they are comparing the manual to a a auto which everyone knows the manny is way slower than a auto, wait till the 8 speed auto comes out it will be a different story, plus the turbo s couldn't even beat the old Zr1, but to each his own we all like different cars and both are good at what they do and both are targeting different people.

For the price of a Ferrari, I would buy the corvette c7, and the viper

Nice review.BUT!!!!!I cannot get the Z51. I live in New York City. 2 hours on the Brooklyn-Queens expressway yesterday to go 9 miles. A stick would have killed me. Z51 and bumps don't go together. Dealer in Queens noted his back was wrecked just on Queens Blvd. No place to make any fancy turns. I'm gonna get a stock vette which as you well know looks weird but as one reviewer said "drives like a cadillac compared to the Z51." Well, looks like I'll just have to save some money, poor me. Still like your review.

I love FLD and watch it everyday and I love the new C7 but comparing it to a Ferrari or a McLaren is a big mistake because the two cars don't have anything in common with a Corvette. Because they have some similarities in their shapes doesn't mean they can be compared they are on different car class levels.

Tadge...PLEASE EXPLAIN to me why the heater stops blowing hot air when the button to retract the the roof is pushed on the dashboard...makes no sense to me...is this a over sight? is this a programming error? What is the logic...The coupe allows you to manual control the heater when the roof has been removed. Why do you need to run the temp control at HI to get any heat in the cabin with the top down...sure wish I could return car for a coupe...THANKS...hope to hear from others on this issue/bug/design blunder/ etc.

What are those paddles behind the steering wheel for? That Corvette is manual...

No, this is the 2015. The 2015s come with the PDR which this car is equiped with.

I realize that this guy has created some controversy by saying that he'd take the Vette over a Ferrari but he's not the only one who feels that way. Ask Jay Leno what he thinks. You can get this car with a 3LT interior where every surface is covered in napa leather and or carbon fiber and it looks and feels incredible. Real world average 22mpg with 30+ on long trips yet it goes like stink and costs 50 bucks for an oil change. Can actually drive it to work every day. If you like to drive a stick (I do) you can have that here too. This car will run with exotics on the track but to live with it's like owning a Toyota. Best of both worlds really. Also.....cops like Vettes so less likely to ticket you than if you get pulled over in a Porsche. You get a warning instead of the stinkeye! For a few more dollars you can get a Z06 that will eat Ferraris for lunch but unless you are tracking the car you will NEVER use all the capability of the Z51 which is a better daily driver IMO.

Did he seriously just compare the C7 to a 458 and a 650S.I mean don't get me wrong it's bloody rapid,it'll get around a circuit faster than an F-type R coupe but it's nowhere near as fast as a 650S and a 458 will absolutely murder it.Also the interior of the ferrari i so special,molded from carbon and cow hide whilst the chevy is just some plastic with a little leather here an there.Also you crossed the line when you mentioned that that 6.2 L blender could ever sound as good as the 4.5L master piece from maranello.

"Id take this corvette over a Ferrari" - this is probably one of the most stupid statements Ive heard in a while. Something tells me this gentleman has never spent much time in a Ferrari or he's high on exhaust fumes lol. Dont get me wrong, I love the new corvette and think its a great car, but it will never be a Ferrari or even close. Looming at the interior, you can see all of tbe plastic and cheap materials. Doesnt mean its not a great car, just means once again that it is not even close to the same quality as a Ferrari. Also if you are in the market for a Ferrari, things like maintenence costs, etc, are not even on your radar.

Ummmm. Im.sorry but the interior of the ferrari aint special. You do realize all you really get is a nice steering wheel right? The interior is basic as hell. Just suede mostly and some leather seats. The Pagani huarya has an interior that oozes luxury. But the ferrari doesnt. So please.

I think they should make it a 6 speed manual. Yah the 7th gear is too easy to shift into when you want 6th. Of course the 8 sp auto corrects that problem :) But that's all the car anyone needs overall. For $73K that's as good as you find anywhere. We should support Chev and stop supporting foreign model costing many times more for just a slight bump in fun factor. Chev is finally doing a good job and should be rewarded.

What is the Z51 package? The rear end is too high-schoolish

I think most of the actual Ferrari owners I've seen around here in LA would actually benefit from a C7 in the ways he described. However, money doesn't seem to actually exist to them so matters of practicality become irrelevant. But then for the rest of us, if we compare this to a Cayman S/M4/RC F/etc (similar in that price range) isn't the C7 significantly better in terms of raw performance value?

I mean honestly, this car over a Ferrari? Okay let's examine this, since this is a cheap plastic american car, let's go for the cheapest Ferrari, the 458 Italia. I'm sorry fld, but however much GM pays you, the Corvette is nice, for some days, but it can't run in the same race as the Fezza. The 458 is more beautiful, faster, more fun to drive, more of an experience, sounds way better, feels more special and has a much better balance. So of course it's 4 times the price, because it's about 10 times the car

What does it matter if they are a "bitch conpany" their cars are fucking fantastic. And you can't say for value for money, because we know that the vette is good value for money, but that doesn't mean that the ferrari is wayyyyy better. And if you do think you can use value for money as an excuse, than you shouldn't compare them at all, because ferraris are always going to be better and more expensive than vettes.

People you have to understand one thing. Corvettes aren't trying to compete with Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini etc for better leather, more carbon fiber or the most exotic looking car, because they don't want to. It's common economics. Porsche sells more cars than Ferrari annually because they're cheaper in price and some would argue quality as well. GM wants to sell as an example, 100,000 vettes annually so they have to keep the vettes at a certain price point or they wont sell as many! Ferrari on the other wants to sell say 15,000 units annually to mostly rich people , so they can charge a premium based on exclusivity. Most of us grew up thinking Ferraris were perfect because they were so expensive and just assumed based on their price that they never broke down. That was a false perception. Hate to say it but do your homework, Ferraris have more engine and transmission problems than vettes. Who cares that vette engines are old pushrod engines that aren't as high tech as the Ferraris? They don't breakdown nearly as much! Bottom line, you take a 650 horsepower vette and a 650 horsepower Ferrari and its going to be real dogfight . Who gives a crap that the vettes leather isn't as nice or there isn't as much carbon fiber etc. The real concern here should be, how is it possible that a $130,000 vette is keeping up with and in some areas of performance beating a $275,000 Ferrari? Maybe Ferrari can spot the suckers in the room better than me. I think both cars rock, but one is way overpriced,

Daniel Maia Ferraris standard warrantee is 3 years. You can pay extra to extend it to 5 years and even pay to extend it every year after that up to 12 years. But the free warrantee that comes with the car is only 3 years.

GM messed up imo. I was dead set on getting a white c7 until I actually sat in one. It is too small, but I'm comfortable in the c6. I'm too tall. Anyone 6'4 and up is lying through their teeth if they say they're not crunched up!

+cnarro890 Start thinking before you type. They did fuck up, all you have to do is read the numerous complaints on the Corvette forum. It is a fact that it is smaller than the C6, and the Corvette people are lying about the legroom and headroom dimensions.

the front is nice, the side is nice, but the rear looks like something made for 10-year old transformers fans....

I love fast cars but I don't understand why we need all that power. Most speed limits are 75mph. And a car like that would get me arrested. We need to have an autobahn mentality to drive cars like that. It's like my Harley, it hated going 30 mph it liked 40 and up. It was happiest at 70+

Mostly because it is intended to be usable on the track and the road. The Corvette, like so many of its rivals; are much faster than you actually need in the real world because they're meant to be competitive when they're taken to a track day. Whereas something like the Miata, 370 Z, z4, TT, SLK, Boxster, etc. Aren't as focused on speed and are just sporty little cars.

Saw one of these in a Wal-Mart parking lot, with the top down. I wasnt impressed. Inside looked like a riced out Cobalt interior. Same cheap plastics.

It's really funny to me how people want to bicker over what car is better, handles better, is faster and so on? I've always loved Ferraris, Porsches and lambos. But the bigger picture is this, american cars as a whole (- the gm recall) are miles ahead in quality compared to gm cars of just 5-8 years ago. Who would've thought a Cadillac would ever beat a bmw 3 or 5 series in handling and control, but they did. As nice a car as any current Ferrari is, it's no were near worth 4x the price of a current vette! Yes a Ferrari has a higher quality interior! Yes it has better leather! Yes it has more carbon fiber, but $200,000 more over the vette? Is it a better car? In some ways, yes! But not for $200,000 more. Ferrari for years have sold overpriced cars to the rich and privileged who could afford them and price was never a problem. So quality is a perception based on price and not on facts. Corvettes breakdown less than Ferraris! Less engine and transmission problems! Less electronic issues! YOU CAN NOW COMPARE THESE TWO CARS ON PERFORMANCE AND HANDLING ALONE, but the corvettes quality IS improving faster than the Ferraris. Bottom line, does the Ferrari out handle, out slalom, out break, out 0-60, out finesse the vette for $200,000 more? HELL NO!

C6 looked better.. This new C7 looks like a wannabe 599 with Camaro taillights.. The C6 with this new C7's interior, or almost ANY other car's interior would be better ; )
