Ok for anyone watching this, couple things to mention that weren’t. #1. If you have a raptor, cord location is different. #2. That grey clip you lift at beginning is INCREDIBLY fragile. Heads up would be good #3. It’s ok to swear a little this guy makes it look easier than it is. It’s not hard but it’s not as easy as the video shows where everything comes together perfectly Good luck

So he took out the turbo defusers. I was wondering about that. The only reason they are in there on the factory setup is because both turbos feed off of one inlet. They limit the turbulence of the air going into the turbos because they are reverse fed. Dual intake tubes, no need for defusers

Installed mine on my 2017 ecoboost and at high revs (2500-3000rpm) and it shuts the turbos down completely until I cycle the engine. Any fixes?

Developed in the same factory (K&N developed the AEM, air raid, etc).

Any headache cleaning the filter?

I've been having issues with the series 77 on my 2023 Tremor EcoBoost. There seems to be an odd whistle sound, almost like a dog whimpering, when backing off the accelerator at highway speeds. Its coming from the filter area. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times, I can't seem to figure out how to fix it. Other than that, it sounds great. Anyone else have this issue?

I have the same sound, I believe it’s the blow off valve you’re hearing.

@@GetGone6969 I agreed with that theory so much that I had a turbo smart atmospheric blowoff valve installed and now I get a puff and whistling noise...lol. I called K&N to discuss this, I'm arguing now that the lack of cover is causing the noise. They kind of agreed. Don't laugh but to prove my theory, I made a cover for the air filter with Gorilla tape. Guess what....the whistle sound is all but gone so far. K&N doesn't make a cover for the series 77, they argue that the hood acts as the cover. I argue that the hood doesn't act as a good enough cover and is the cause of the sound. So go get yourself some extra wide Gorilla tape and make your own cover, it makes a difference.

It’s supposed to do that its because the increased airflow going through the intake I have the same one installed on my 2018 lariat that’s what you want it to sound like

Just ordered mine off Amazon. BEWARE Raptor owners that K&Ns quality control is garbage. The IAT extension doesnt fit the sensor. Also ordered the catch can which had a manufacturing defect. Take my work and just get another brand.

Yes there is a tube that goes on the intake it’s Vent Tube Insert Part Number: 59-06201

I just got my kit and it came with the Vent tube insert, and it is metal, not PVC like that part number is.

Just connect a ODB 2 reader that can clear the code.
