I've viewed several of these videos on this subject matter. Not one, outside yours, mentioned counting the threads on the screw. Smart thinking.

Glad it worked out for you. I replaced the housings on my 2019 with LED housings about a year ago and here is what I learned. 1. There are dozens of videos on how to remove these things without struggling. 2. LED fog lights are much better and you can get them fairly cheap, I think I paid 55 bucks for my Morimoto clones on Amazon. 3. You definitely need plastic trim tools to keep from breaking or scratching things up, looked like you gouged up the plastic trim around the fog light pretty good with that screw driver. 4. The housings are marked L and R, at least mine were. 5. I pulled my truck up to the garage door and marked the center of the light beam with tape before I removed them. When you put the new ones in you can adjust them to the original position and go from there.

Now, adding the LED's, is the actual housing different, or can LED bulbs be put in the OEM housing?

@@Powerstroke98 , if you are replacing the entire housing, they are the same, you just have to reuse the adjustment screws from your OEM housings. Lots of videos on how to do that. If you just want to put LED bulbs in the OEM housing, yes, you can do that, just make sure you get the right bulbs.

GREAT tutorial - Thank you! Mind aren't cracked on my 2018 F150 Lariat, however, they have condensation in them and the bottom if full of road dirt and sand.... how that happens, I have no idea. I will be using this tutorial to replace mine...thanks so much for a great step-by-step.

So, i just replaced my oem LED housing with new style LED for brighter and wider beam.. here id what i learned.. Once youve removed the adjustment screw and the lights. Start with the difficult side, its tough, but get a short flathead or anything like that and pry the tab back as best as u can while pushing the housing out. You will hear a pop when its moved, NOW u can pry the easy side and push out. Once it pops forward u can move to the front of the truck and grab and pull. I hope this helps.

Great job man. Very informative and easy to follow. One of the best how to vids I’ve watched. I wonder if Ford will cover my 2020 under warranty. Cracked right thru the middle from side to side.

Hey Ronnie Gregory, I wonder if they will cover it under the factory 3yr/36k warranty also. I can see the argument from both sides. From their side, an outside object/force damaged it causing the crack. From a consumer's side, they should be able to take on rock chips like our headlights and not crack. It could go either way. If you take it in, please update us on what the dealership says!

I was wondering the same thing. Have to replace my fog light and assembly and this video is a letdown.
