Will you guys be coming out with the Ghost Cam tune later ? The one thing I like from the 2014 that the 15 is missing, is the ghost cam tune. I love that sound.

May i ask, What gear were the base run and run with tune done in? 3rd or 4th? HP and Torque displayed will vary depending on the gear used for the dyno. Thanks

I originally got the bama tunes for my 16 v6 mustang auto. My god, it felt like I was destroying my new car every time I drove it. It did get me more power and a 5.2 0-60, but the ride was just awful. I got the mpt prx tune and it has been pretty good so far. Smooth ride, more power, more torque, none of the drawbacks like I had with the bama tune.

What exhaust do you have on this car? It sounds pretty good in this video. Clearly you have an Airaid intake. Any other mods to this car, other than the tune?

I have a 2016 Mustang v6 3.7L what would be the BEST Intake for the most horsepower with your tune? I wanna make sure I can make the most power, thanks.

I already have the 91PRX. But you should do a review and Dyno on that too, for the channel. By the way. What mods were on this car at the time of the Dyno?

car has axle back exhaust, throttle body spacer, intake and shorty headers.

So a ford performance intake and tune on the ecoboost makes 283whp-328wtrq and the 3.7 with a intake and tune makes 295whp-286wtrq. As a EBM owner I have to admit the V6 is a far better engine, it makes similar bolt on power as the turbo 4, sounds far better and doesnt suffer from carbon build up from a direct injection system, if you add a turbo(s) then you're hurting v8 feelings all day.

Haven't read anything below, so sorry for a possible repeat. What other mods do you got going? Gonna make a difference right?

I just got my pr-x ,93. Now it feels smooth and instant throttle response. Pr-x 91 does make a difference. But you have to try the pr-x 93. Now it's like my Camaro SS V8. Trust me this tune is no joke. These guys know what they are doing. I have not seem anyone who said it's a waste. Best bang for your bucks. I have friend with 5.0. I use to take him in first and second gear pull on stock V6. He won't come close now in third. This V6 engine is used in $650000 Ford GT Police cars and Ford F 150 for a reason. Its light weight reliable and have potential with mods. Wonder why Ford discontinued it. It was so close to 5.0. It's originally development by Mazda. With Ford badge on it.

How does this tune compare to the 3.7L tunes for the previous gen? I have an MPT performance tune i purchased june of last year, is there any difference?

Can the 11-14s expect these types of gains? I run the 93 performance tune in my 6 speed for my daily tune with an air raid intake. Should I expect the same?

Hey mpt I have had this tune for a while now and I was wondering about the shift times in sport mode. Usually when I am in sport mode it tends to hold out to the higher rpms before shifting, but I just noticed in the video you said its suppose to shift sooner or at lower rps. Sometimes especailly if I floor it it goes up to 7K rpms, mainly just on take off. Its done really good though with the mods I have I went to the drag strip the weekend I got the tune from yall and ran with v8 cars!

Yes, extremely easy to program vehicle back to stock.

i added a diablo sport i3 tuner along with a c n l cold air intake and a roush exhaust system for a horse power gain of 47 hp it also changed the trans shift points to where now when i get on it i get a second gear cherp and it really puts you back in your seat like a whole different car i love to much fun.2016 mustang 3.7 liter engine i would recommend this tune to anyone serious 3.7 owner you wont regret it i can say with experience, tuner $395 cold air intake $406 rouch exhaust $595 next is a procharger super charger $4.000 to get me up to 450 hp cant wait to take it to sears point and do the 1/4 mile and run the track LARRY BROAD

I know nothing about tunes or tuning a car. If I want to buy this tune for my 2016 3.7 do I need to know all of that specifications of of throttle responses, shifting fuel economy so they can custom built the tune. Or is it only a package that you buy and just upload it to the cars computer and hopes it will improve it?

I uploaded the MPT tune to my car and I'm impressed but how can I remove the rev limiter while my car is in neutral in a dead stop? My car is manual and before I could rev it all they way to red line but now it wont pass 4500 rpms

Yes, but our trans tuning will be better at putting that power to the ground with higher RPM shifts and revised torque converter lockup.

The intake helps, but its mostly the tune. Would still expect over 30hp with just the tune on an otherwise stock 3.7L

Good torque numbers. However A 2009 g37 will make more power with a tune only add exhaust,intake injectors and e85 youll be looking at 340 whp.

You can’t really compare a middle ground V6 against a performance-based V6. SMH. If you want to do Performance between both cars, you need to do it between the G37 and GT.

I thought the newer the car the more horsepower it has. But this car has lower horsepower than the 2014 Ford Mustang?

I noticed a TB spacer and of course a CAI... What other mods have been done to that car to net those gains? This car isn't stock... For someone with just shorties, crossover pipe and a CAI, what sort of gains could that realistically fetch?

Great question. This car came in with some minor upgrades that included an intake, throttle body spacer, and axle back exhaust. The power figures we show here on the stock tune include those modifications and the tune changes we made did not require extra changes for those modifications versus what we would do for a completely stock car. Any performance gained by that improvement to air flow would be seen in the baseline numbers on the stock tune. So, we would expect same delta between the stock tune figures and our 93 PRX tune. In the years since when this video came out, we've tuned thousands of these cars and the increase in performance has been validated and confirmed by our customers with their feedback, datalogs, and independent third party dyno testing. Don't need to take my word for that, a quick search on the web should confirm that.

@@mptperformance Righto. It's just, I'm in the market for a tune and of course I made the dire mistake of asking the cult-- I mean, group which tuner to go with. Of the replies I got steamrolled with, you guys and AMR kept coming up. Here's my dilemma; 93oct is considered a unicorn where I live and the places I travel to, so I'd be forced to get a 91oct tune if you guys do that. Obviously a 91 tune wouldn't net as much gains as the 93 but what do you think I could realistically gain? Not looking for specifics, just a ballpark idea. I have those BBK shorties (I doubt it's doing anything) OEM cats (it's a daily car) that go into 2.5in stamped crossover (I doubt that's doing anything too) and S550.2 GT quad tips, C&R cold air and oil separator can.

All MPT tunes are built to order, taking into account your modifications. For each tune we're building, you get to choose the fuel (87, 91, 93, or E85). MPT tunes include a 60 day window where updated tunes based on datalogs are included. That way you can be sure that you are fully dialed in and making the most of that fuel and your modifications.

We've had custom tuning available for the earlier 3.7L Mustangs for a long time, we just don't call it PR-X on that car. Partly because the earlier cars don't have the drive modes the newer cars have. You still choose Octane, Tune Type, Shifting Preferences for each tune. www.morepowertuning.com/37tunedescriptions

Will this solve this problem. I have a 2016 Mustang with a v6. I purchased it brand new 2 months ago with 235 miles on it. The 3rd day after letting it sit for 12 hours and after few minutes at high idle it dropped down to 600rpm's and started to shake as if it was going to stall. 3 different dealers said if no engine codes they can't tell what it is. they checked tsb's and only one service writer said there was engine idle problems but no fix. it does it every day after sitting over night. It goes to 800rpms then to 600rpms. 2 different dealers let me try other Mustangs with same engine and they go to 1200 rpms and then to 800rpms and then to 600rpms and no rough idle. it seems I'm missing 1 warm up idle. your help would be deeply appreciated.

This tune does not change idle. Normally there is no performance benefit to modifying the portion of the ECU calibration associated with idle.

MPT Performance hey so when i decellerate in the normal drive mode from about 30-20 mph my car the transmission jerks this dosnt happen in sport should i contact my tuner or is this a normal thing to happen?

Its normal for it to downshift more aggressively than stock, but feel free to hit reply on the email where you received that tune and let your tuner know what's going on. Also, keep in mind that the longer you drive on a tune, the better the shifting will be. The reason for this is that we give the transmission a target pressure to use to complete the shift. Then the transmission must determine how much electrical current is required via the shift solenoids to achieve these targets. This requires quite a bit of shifting on the transmissions part to properly learn these new targets. So, while we do specify 30 miles as a good rule of thumb, certain vehicles take a bit longer. Increased firmness is actually better for your transmission as it prevents slipping and frictional wear on the internal clutches and bands. It also keeps trans fluid temps lower, which in turn reduces oxidation and degradation of the transmission fluid.

Tough to say, but this car was running the loudest possible version of this supercharger. For more refined performance, you can option a helical gear upgrade and retain the factory airbox.

We can definitely set up a tune for 87 octane. Will still deliver a noticeable improvement in power along with improved throttle response. If you have an automatic trans, then that's half the tune there as well, with significant improvements to shift schedule, torque converter lock up schedule, and what happens on the gear change. MPT tunes include a 60 day window where updated tunes based on datalogs are included. That way you can be sure that you are fully dialed in and making the most of that fuel and your modifications. @@Spurrr

Heard they were Roush axelbacks. It wasn't something that affected how we tuned it, so it wasn't noted.

how much does that cost to do that to your Mustang and doesn't void your warranty

i have the bbk long tubes on my car and ever since install i have idle surge issues had the car checked for leaks none were found and my friend told my i should call mpt to see if one of your tunes could help me out with my problem

Are gains with Cold air intake or without? If without what are the gains with?

Difference from stock calibration to tuned would be the same regardless, but both sets of numbers might be a smidge lower on stock intake. Make sense?

MPT Performance you answered everything i needed to hear. I see all these misleading claims on CAI paired with tune. I understand more air is better but how much gains was from the tune and not the intake. It clears up alot and saves me money aswell. Thank you and im looking forward to a tune from you guys in the future.
