Do you need a flywheel removal tool to remove the flywheel or does it come off just by hand?

I was lucky on this video, I should have mentioned you need a puller, I use a old puller for a Austin mini clutch, here's the yamaha part number 90890-01362
Hi, do you know if my starter clutch (gear) is broken because everytime i press start, only the starter spins but not the engine. Before it got broken it made strange unpleasant bang everytime i started it.

Going by your description it sounds like the sprag clutch is worn. Can you start the bike with a bump start.

@@TheWeeBaldyBiker yes i have bump started it for the last 2 months because i waited for winter so i have more time to fix it. I have 183cc cylinder so i think that it requires more power to rotate the crank everytime i start it and thats less power for the spark. The noise only occured when i cold started the engine. And as soon as the starter didnt spin the crank anymore, everytime i cut off the engine and if i listened closely, i could hear like a piece of something slided across bottom of the block. But yeah, no issues if i bump start it.

@@pleessi5516 If that was my bike, I would remove the left hand engine casing and check the sprag clutch for wear

It's just a standard 6 speed box with no quick shifter fitted.

If the starter clutch is loose will it cause the engine to not start?

Hi, thanks for your question, what do you mean by loose, also is the engine turning over when you try to start it.
