I’m having the same issue! It’s happened to me 3 times in the past two weeks.

I had similar problem with my outback and found main 120 fuse had a crack... This caused engine to shutdown then come back on. Replaced main fuse and it's running again. Although I'm left with a flashing break light and abs light on.. thinking of adding ground wires

Looks like the dash on my 2013 crosstrek. Turns out to be a torque converter lockup valve. Subaru will only sell the entire valve body assembly for close $1000 usd. You can get just the valve for about $100 usd. This part affects all of the systems showing faults on your car. Get the codes from you car read to make sure. You can clear the codes and see if it comes back. I just realized this post is a year old. What did it turn out to be?

There is a recall for the brake lamp switch, get it fixed free at your dealer

After installing an after market front driver hub all this lights came on in my 2014 Subaru crosstrek xv hybrid. Seems that I have to remove and and buy the original one from Subaru. I called Subaru and they explained that the after market hubs assemblies don’t have strong magnet and the speed sensor can’t read it. Believe me or not a simple speed sensor made all this lights on in your dash.

The light is a way to tell you something is wrong it could be anything that is failing or about to fail some times you have an engine code like brakes or cooling system it's up to you to hit the nail on the head on this so I saw a video and they said that it was the brake switch so I purchased one I took the old one apart and it was bad but my light kept coming on I got a code p0128 for cooling below temp so I had already changed the thermostat my car has had everything in the engine replaced except the coolant temp switch change it and all was well even the fans started to work properly and car runs a lot better hope this helps

I’m having this same issue but no codes show up. Hill assist, abs and VDC dash light warnings. Happens mostly in cold morning weather. Subaru can’t figure it out. WTH. The dealership couldn’t find any codes. This doesn’t happen in the afternoon when it warms up or on warm days. Maybe I should replace the thermostat? 104k miles. 2015 Forester 2.5i

Subaru Forester 2015 (CVT transmission). Have permanent code p0890 (TCM power relay sense circuit low), which I can’t clear because it is permanent. code p0890 (TCM power relay sense circuit low). No check engine light. (only this permanent code, which more simple scan tool didn’t even display (I did check it)) Any ideas what should I do to get rid of this code ? I read that computer should clear it itself, but several month passed and it is still on. checked fuses - all seems to be fine. Any ideas? What could be the problem?

Change or reflash the TCM

2014 Forester. Bearing went bad and we went and got a new one from Autozone. Gave them the build date of the car and they sold us a bearing. Got home, put it in, all this stuff happened. Went to Subaru, gave them the VIN, they sold us a bearing, It did the same thing. Went back to Autozone and just out of a whim got the bearing for the other build date. Boom! everything went off. Subaru is insisting that they gave us the right part but there's definitely a difference in the thickness of the pick up ring inside the bearing. Time to fight with subaru for the $300 back.

Hello there! Anyone ever get this problem solved? I have a 2015 Subaru which is presenting all of the same issues as in the video.. only difference is we have replaced the gas pedal in assumption it was a sensor.. any ideas?

Never mind the A/C ripple, definitely Brake Lamp Switch!!

I recently started getting all the same lights on my 14 Forester 2.5i Premium. I put my $800 scanner on it and its showing the resistance to the oil pressure sensor is too high. like WAY to high. I purchased a sensor off RockAuto for $100 and im about to change it soon. *update* it was the transmission valve body. The lock up solenoid went bad. 800$ replacement for the entire valve body.

@Barak Obama upon more research i found the solution was 100% the valve body, unfortunately, they don't just sell solenoids at Subaru. Amazon does have them, but for the work it takes to pull the valve body out and replace one solenoid you'll find paying the 800$ for the whole body is worth it. It wasn't too hard at all for someone with intermediate knowledge. Just don't get any dirt in the top of the tyranny while replacing. Suabru even gives you a little bib to cover everything

This turned out to be that I had to use hub assemblies for cars made on or after 1/14 (month/day) even though this car was made on 1/13. It was a suggestion by Timken after going through two sets that were for 1/13 and prior. Subaru confirmed the build date and the 1/13 replacements ‘should’ have worked but instead caused all the havoc documented in the video.

The hubs are different depths and the shorter ones do not reach the ABS sensor

My 2015 Forester just had this issue yesterday. And I found the answer below and it's a known Subaru Brake Light Switch issue. I pushed the switch in and all the warning lights are gone. I'm going to replace the $15.00 switch. So it turned out this car was made on 1/13 and while the hub assembly was ‘before 1/14’ I had to purchase a hub assembly that was ‘1/14 and after’ and as soon as I installed it all the issues went away.

Hey david i have this type of problem i purchased the timken wheel hubs 1/13/14 and right after that all the lights turned up. Did you resolved the issue ? How did it go

@@davidunderwood3210 My 2012 outback shutoff several times on the road, I was lucky to make it home. But after replacing the main fuse now I have steady abs, break assist and flashing break light.. already replaced break pedal relay.. lights and break fluid reservoir is good, no check engine light or codes.. I'm stumped

I have Subaru Forester 2015 with All Lights ON ( $cristmas tree ) + blinking "At Oil Temp" We just changed out the Brake Light Switch (Subaru #83370AA001 Stop Lamp Switch ) BTW previous night the car was perfect running. ( but engine oil and filter were newly replaced ) Unfortunately !!! It DID NOT work , then one mechanic said " ( You need the replace the full transmission ! ) I can't find 2nd hand here in AbuDhabi ( UAE ). I appreciate anybody help. many thanks.

Same problem with my 2013 Subaru Crosstrek XV. Needs replacement of transmission pressure sensor. I will update when problem is fixed. Will replace the part in 3 days.
