All these trap doors in almost all the towers really bother me as you cant simply remove the lever and use the space without glueing the hatches in place. Generous interiors are a rare commodity with playmobil 🤣

Hot glue from the crafting section works great. They simply come off whenever you want without leaving any damage.

My friend!!! I’ve started to see it as an internal access hatch, the ladder can be shifted to lead down into the lower chamber FROM the upper chamber. I imagine that this allows the “keep” of the castle to remain secure as anyone within the keep can move from the lowest level, all the way to the top of the tower without ever leaving the security of the iron doors. I hope this perspective helps as I also used to HATE the constant trap doors.
