I am standing up for Dave here. He was upset and very intense during the Worlds Championship because he designed that course for people to enjoy without OB. He was notified that the course was changed with tons of OB at the last minute. He tried his best with the TD and fought with them to take out the OBs (red stakes) because that course represented him and he wanted people to enjoy his course as he designed. Dave was proud of his course without the OB and had a certain vision with the course and how Pro played that course without OB. He did not designed the course to only benefit backhanders (which will benefit Dave) but he made sure to designed the course to attract the Pro players for side arm dominates and backhanders, which shows how much he cares for the sports and not all about his need. There was no need to add OB on that course in his opinion because the course was designed where there were no cheater routes. Therefor, it challenged the pro to hit the line Dave envisions in his head. Adding OB destroyed that vision of the course and made all the players worry about OB instead of showing skills to hit the line on EVERY hole. He was upset every time he saw Simon, Bradley, and Steve OB (Including his own OB). His exact statement when his fellow competitor OB was "That's not fair for them. (Towards Simon and Bradley). They threw beautiful shot and should not have been punished for it with OB that doesn’t even make sence. Disc Golf is NOT meant to be controlled by OB on EVERY hole" This angered him during this round. Yes he was upset but because he wanted a good competition without worrying about OB on every hole. So please, don't judge or assume his intent or his attitude during the round on this video as being a bad player. He was VERY stressed because he waited VERY long to have World Championship in Portland OR on his course and with OB added to his course without his knowledge, and seeing all his fellow players complaining about OB and expressing to Dave that it is the worst course because of OBs ( listening to them complain all week), he felt overwhelmed and very distracted which showed while he played. In addition, playing for World is not a fun and laugh together type of gig. This is sport and being passionate and being intense does not mean he is a bad player, being a winner, or being a drama queen. These pro players work hard to be good and compete. For people like us to judge them while they play these competition is not right. It is their living and their profession. They are not robot and therefor, it is expected to see various emotions out of them while they play in National level competition. There are more to Dave then what you see in these 30 minutes video on You Tube. Lot more stories and politics involved outside of the game that video do not show that exist in disc golf world. STOP CALLING HIM NAME AND STOP JUDGING HIM. Thank you. @Mike Riemer, Duussif @dr_atomic, @Mike O,@chargerfans4life

Have you played there..? The course is WAAAAAAAAAY too easy without OB. I'm no pro, by any means, and without OB, my first round there, I shot a +2. And, if it wasn't meant to be played with OB, why were the stakes put in WHEN THE COURSE WAS CREATED????? I seriously doubt that you know what you are talking about, but just might be a fan of Douche Feldbeard. I, personally, know that he's a dick...for serious. His ex and my friend were roommates a couple years ago, and my friend has some stories about old Douchey....lol.....

Yes, Feldberg seemed a little extreme, but its important to note that some of the context for that was apparently edited out. Also, recall that when someone else's disc was sitting in rough near an OB line, he called it "good" and encouraged the other players to take a vote, which demonstrated his fairness, experience, and knowledge of the rules.

Thx mr McFly. Dave acting like a class a dbag. Simon tries to reach every basket with the first shot and not going for the safe shot --> OB, OB, OB, OB (he loses at least 5 throws by doing that) And Steve and Bradley staying classy! Cool dudes!

yeah as a lat 64 enthusiast i was happy to see dave join the team and promote the brand but i'm starting to wonder...it's been this way in a few tournaments now, he's mumbling to himself like a madman and whining and being borderline aggressive about pretty much everything. look at how serious (with a hint of confusion) all the other players look at the end. on a sidenote, happy to see bradley throwing so well, think i may steal that hand wrap idea for putting. -mr sweaty hands

Lizotte really has some oomph in his throw and he tries to utilize that. Especially in that situation where he is 4th on the chase card. He wanted to risk it and try to catch up with people in front of him. Seems so at least. Though he always plays like that. :D

Duussif I see lizotte all the time like that. And that kind of strategy is just far too risky to be effective in the long run. If he does not change that strategy he is an unlikely potential world champ.

dr_atomic ive seen simon play more conservatively with a lead this year. He had too much ground to make up, he had to at least try and make something happen. Your odds of winning a world championship from tbe position he was in by not airing it out are zero

Matthew McAllister I agree on most of what you say. Allthough I'm not sure if he (Simon) is going to change his style of play, and if he does so he still might not be able to be in the final for on a consistant basis. It would be great to have an additional deadly force who can beat Paul McBeast (I know that Simona has already beaten him). Especially since he is european. Cheers!

My favorite Dave comment was "Put it on the internet" after hole #12. The cameraman was obviously attempting to get the camera out of Dave's face and still caught the comment with the audio. And if this was the segment where people were talking about him saying something about "amateur," I thought that he was probably talking about himself and the missed putt. Also, I don't think that Dave was really yelling or overly loud with his comments. I believe that because of the close proximity of the mic to the action, a lot of "under the breath" comments were getting picked up that you don't hear a lot on other videos. And when he did raise his voice about the root, I'm glad that he did. His comment made perfect sense. I actually enjoy watching him, Dave, play. It's also a pleasure to watch Steve. He just seems like he must have ice running through his veins! And was that Simon dropping the F Bomb on the next hole? Something about 6' again, when he went OB. Interesting that with English as a 2nd language that he'd use an American vulgarity for his expletive. Thanks for the great video work!

if a fallen limb is on the ground during the round and it's not in someone's stance then it needs to stay where it is. Every player should have a chance to play a course that is as close to identical as possible for each group. Moving the limb would make the course different for the next group and is a penalty. Course maintenance should be reserved for work days, casual rounds, and any time before the event starts.

Feldberg is one of the first players I ever watched on KZread. He made me interested in the game, which I now love. It's a bit disappointing to see him so... Angry. But in hindsight, I guess I can still see that same negative attitude in other videos much earlier than this. Maybe he needs to get his beard back... I still like watching him throw... but he doesn't need to look so grumpy. Just IMO, of course.

James Crixell he dont look like much fun to play a round with, thats for sure.... but then again i'd be pissed too if i constantly airballed putts. thats what separates the godly players from the great players, and feldberg falls in with nico, rico, ulibarri, drives are pretty good, putting is too inconsistent to hang with the top three.

What's the black band on Williams' hand for? Does he always play with that? And I don't understand what the big deal is on hating Feldberg's behaviour. Although I'm not saying this would be the first time, he's having some bad luck near the end of the tournament, and raising your voice when personnel are panicking to remove an obstacle off the course is quite permittable. Everyone gets more or less frustrated when playing, even McBeast is punching his hand or trees every now and then when he's having a bad round. A lot of players just clap their hands or give a smack to the ground to show and let go of their frustration, so are one's self-directed mumblings (that might get recorded) something a lot worse. Feldberg is somewhat more extroverted and colorful than most top players, but I haven't seen him do anything that would ruin the other players' game or mindset. I bet they have their plates full concentrating on their own game and doings. I see it as just taking the sport serious and showing some passion, and I wouldn't blame him for that. He's not throwing discs around (or frantically playing around with them like Nybo in Stockholm) or disrupting other players' throws, and on the other side of things, Feldberg brings his outspokedness also to compliment, cheer and defend other players, as well as sticking with the rules. Everyone can and will have their own opinions and likings when it comes to spectating sports, but I don't mind a temperamental personality. A top player like Feldberg, with a world championship and couple of decades playing, still takes every shot seriously and shows passion that is natural to his personality. One might as well hate on that, as one inevitably prefers and dislikes features and players in a sport they're into, but one might as well take it as a respect for the sport to be taken seriously. Nikko and Big Jerm are worse (judging by how they could affect other players) on displaying flammable temperament in my opinion. And subjectively even worse, there's just something about Schusterick's theatrical antics that are annoying to spectate. Lizotte is my favorite, as he shows the frustration, but always quite immediately laughs it off. Most players barely roll their eyes, but being stoic or not is all in the personality. All in all, anything is better than a player who's only reaction is that of not at all caring on their performance, other players or how their throws end up.

Yeah it somehow comes trough that Dave is really frustrated and taking this way too seriously. :O And that "f*cking amateurs.." comment he made.. I'd like to know what's the context for that. Also wtf was that about "it definitely hit this OB pole" thing.. Isn't those poles/markers part of the course too like that object in earlier happenstance where he was scolding someone not to remove the thing that made Rico's disc jump weirdly because it's part of the course.

Tyler Nelson I don't know if he would be able to take a lie at the post. If the OB line had been a fence and it bounced off the fence, it still wouldn't count as getting in bounds. The OB posts are part of the course just like the grass and trees, if you hit it and stayed OB instead of skipping in bounds, it is all in the luck/skill of the throw.

I bet the other players have a lot more important things to concentrate on than what Feldberg is doing. Can't really visualize a scenario where the chase card on round 6 of Pro Worlds would be skipping and hopping through the fairways, smiling while driving and cracking jokes while putting for that much needed birdie. Instead of focusing on their own game, with the same thoughts everyone else has, "I screwed up that one, need to forget it", "I need to do this and this keep my head straight", "I absolutely have to succeed with this throw", and so on... Lizotte often seems modest, slightly shy and uncomfortable, but he's actually simply superb when it comes to the mental game. For what I could make of what Feldberg was saying, it was something like "(Your drives?) are some of the best in the world". I bet Feldberg's upfront approach just made Lizotte slightly confused for a second, if even that. Still, slight social interactions won't exactly act as an acid that melts and evaporates Lizotte's thoughts, mental balance, game plan, concentration and sense of security. Quite sure on that.
