The standard exhaust was conceived by a committee of Italian saucepan designers abetted by deaf accoustic exspurts... the Agostini looks and sounds (minus db killers)amazing. Bravissimo!

Sounds much better with the DB killers on. IMHO!

The guzzi engine sound reminds me of a cross between a Harley vtwin and a Subaru boxer engine

Wow...the bike sounds so nice with the Agostini's...with and without the db killers! Enjoy the ride!

is it me or they sounds different than and better than Harley Davidsons...

they do sound different. Harley Davidson cylinders are set at a 45 degree angle. The narrow angle results in an engine that sounds like it's saying "potato-potato-potato" because the cylinders fire one right after the other. Guzzis have a 90-degree twin, so the power strokes are spaced further apart, resulting in the blub-blub-blub sound.

Looking at a used Cali so I thought I'd hear exhaust options. Ho. Lee. Crap! what a beautiful sound.

you can make the sound as crazy as you want, easy. italians are masters of moderation, I love the modest sound, underlining the class and power of the bike. it doesn't want to be Harley. you park this bike on the pavement and order a negroni instead of half a litre of Budweiser. loud exhaust is a sign of compliance to the usual and what's expected.class and individuality needs no shouting for attention

Great sound! Do you have to add some type of engine management system when you replace the pipes? What about the air cleaner, replaced as well?

sounds is good but I think i will buy the V-performance that has a great sound but amazing fitting and finishing I would buy agostini if they make a better fitting

Why make more noise than necessary? Biking is also beautiful without excessive noise. Don't disturb other people. They hate it and will have the roads closed for ALL bikers, also the silent ones. I was a biker from 1966 until 2012, my eyes are worse now but I see things better. A former Moto Guzzi 850 owner.
