These are almost perfect cars IMO. I bought a white on red 2016 GS350 F-Sport RWD about a year ago with 41k miles for $28k (Original MSRP $58k) & its been a really impressive car for the price I paid. Plenty of luxury features, plenty of power from the super smooth & great sounding reliable V6, agile handling with a impressively comfortable ride & so much more. Still can't get enough of this car after almost a year of owning one, it's that good! Plus I see very few of them on the road, usually no more than two per day compared to the IS's & ES's which I see everywhere. These are easily one of the best used cars you can buy right now.

No complaints about the car at all. Over 180000 miles. The 2010 is a great car also. I had a 2007 rwd. Sold it at 158000. It was a solid car, more rattles in dash and ML system not as good. 13 has a few more features, but not worth the premium unless you just really like the body style.

This "forgotten" Lexus has a lot going for it. Most buyers don't care about the performance so they get the cheaper ES. I don't buy new cars so I'm looking at picking one of these up because depreciation has hit it harder than most Lexus (Lexi?). I don't use infotainment systems much so I think I can live with the joystick. I used to live in Frankfort, IL so it's fun to see someone from my old area. Thanks for the video!

I love the joystick in my GS. I find touch pads to be incredibly offensive and makes me feel like I'm sitting down at my laptop to work. I also don't like using them on laptops! I also would NOT want a touchscreen setup in this car. The position of the screen is perfect and would need to be moved too close. The joystick's dynamic stop points based on what is on the screen is absolutely ingenious. The problem people have with overshooting options is solved by increasing the resistance option in the settings. : )

This car was the best decision I have ever made. Thankfully, I NEVER have to use the infotainment controller unless my phone disconnects (once every couple months or so). I use Bluetooth with phone calls, listen to music all the time, look at the map, etc, but I’ve found that everything I need to do can be done more quickly and efficiently with the provided buttons. You will never have to use the controller for daily driving/infotainment tasks. It’s not a big deal, and it shouldn’t be anywhere near being a deal-breaker for this car. Besides, I’m incredibly used to the controller now and actually don’t mind it at this point. I actually like the PlayStation-style feedback sounds, too. Everything else about the car is just perfect. You can get these cars in excellent condition with 60k miles or so (with a clean title!) for about $20k. Mine was $22k with 49k miles (one-owner, leased, driven 9k miles/year with all maintenance, clean title). Crazy good deal! Cheap maintenance on these things, too. $100 full synthetic oil changes every 5k miles, and that’s it. Brakes aren’t expensive either. Gotta love it! Buy this car, guys. I wash it at least twice a week, condition the leather quite often, and keep it looking great all the time. I never see these on the road, and when I do, the other driver and I always notice each other and make eye contact. They know what’s up, and I know what’s up. Haha. Can’t say the same thing about BMW/Mercedes/Audi! Looking forward to this thing reaching 250k+ miles!-Although I might just decide to upgrade to the GS-F before I reach that point ;)

@@DarkDetectiveLight I go about 250 miles on a full tank. Gets about 18-22 mpg I think, more on the lower end. $50 usually for me to fill up in TN. Idk, the difference in gas over the long run is so tiny compared to the issues you’d face having anything else, especially a BMW. Plus, the BMWs use turbos, and those like to go bad-on top of all the plastic engine components and what not. It’ll last you less than half the time a GS would last you.

Have had my 2014 GS350 since 2020 - 130k miles and still drives like new. Handles like a charm and has some nice getup. Always thought people who complained about the infotainment were just looking for something to nitpick… 99% of the time you just sit on the audio/bluetooth + nav split screen anyways so the joystick isn’t even used lol. In nearly 4 years of owning have not had a single problem - only expenses have been oil changes + new tires. Couldn’t ask for a better all-around vehicle

I dream of having a car with a heated steering wheel. That no one sitting in the back seat button also caught my interest. You did not really get much for your money with an f sport badge back in the day but now a days, Lexus gives you some nice competitive options such as wheels and bumpers and faster transmission and stiffer springs. Stuff that the Germans have been offering for decades. I've also never seen one of this generation with the f sport trim and did not know that they existed. I also like the little trunk lid spoiler you get on this trim. It's a suttle little touch that adds a bit of detail to the overall f sport package. Bonus points for the ps2 like sound effects of the infotaiment system. I know Lexus gets a lot of hate for having the worst infotaiment system in a car but I think it's fine. May be it's because I grew up with technology. These are pretty rare in black. I see loads of them in grey.

BeatSonic makes a great Apple CarPlay/Android adaptor that populates in the center display without compromising anything. It’s a $1000 upgrade, and it brings this car to today’s tech. Hands down my GS F Sport is the finest car I have owned. It will be hard to find something comparable a few years down the road when I approach 200,000 miles. The joystick - you can turn down or turn off the click volume and you can adjust the sensitivity of the joystick. The many complaints about this feature are understandable but it doesn’t take long to get used to it.

I've had the hybrid GS450h for close to 6 years now and it is a really lovely car. The joystick never really gets better: you get used to it but it will always be the same clunky experience. Luckily, like others have pointed out, once you have your bluetooth phone paired to the car, you basically never have to use it because thank god this car actually has physical buttons unlike what we get today. For other owners and interested buyers living in colder climate with road salt, check the rear arches for rust. For some reason the metal in the wheelarches is exposed so the stone chips might turn rusty. I thought I caught this early but got an insane quote from the dealer because they claim they have to cut out and replace both the rear quarters to fix this properly. Regarding the F Sport package, unlike most other Lexus models, the GS actually gets performance parts with that, including the electronically adjustable dampers mentioned in the video but also four wheel steering. This makes the car really quite easy to manouver in tight spots.

I would also like to add that my 2018 has an automatic trunk open and close, updated front bumper and tail lights, wheels, instrument cluster and a whopping 5 extra horse power. 10,500 miles when purchased, now at 16,400 ish - I plan on keeping my mica blue for a very long time. The infotainment system is also updated versus the 2014 - I need Apple CarPlay eventually, but the car is absolutely amazing and I am grateful. Thanks, Lexus. Fix the rattle in the passenger ac seat feature is all that I ask.

The ultra luxury package is way better than the F sport. it has sport + mode. At first glance the joystick is seems more work than a touch screen. But then the touchscreen would get sun on it and get destroyed. Then theres the issue of fingerprints you have to clean off the buttons and screen. Third taking your eyes off the road to look down is not necessary, that what the whole point of using this so that you could actually have maximum focus on the road without moving your hand dramatically further. This system allows your hand to rest and you to keep calm while driving and playing with it. I turned the sounds off, and the flashing lights and sounds when unlocking or locking the car. It draws attention to you, annoys people, and ruins your bulbs faster.

Seems this reviewer does not know anything about this car. The GSF is a High Performance, and the GS350 F sport is still considered a performance vehicle. The F sport also comes with the sportier looking bumper and spindle grill, and sport suspension* The more you know. Stick to playing your PlayStation 2

  • @jonny_350f

maybe you should do your research... the f sport is indeed not a performance vehicle. having avs (which is not sport suspension btw) and some cosmetic mods doesnt make it a perforamance vehicle. at the end of the day its the same thing as the regular non fsport just with some cosmetic tweaks with the only "semi performance" change being the suspension - (which isnt even that great anyways as it's geared more to comfort).

@@jonny_350f maybe you are right, but sure performs like a performance car and very similarly to a BMW 5 series. As I stated before it’s not a ‘high performance’ car like the GSF. BTW the regular GS350 does not have the option for s+ like the F sport which makes a difference when it’s accelerating at higher RPMs if you’ve done your research. Obviously the cosmetics do not make it a performance car, but the power and F sport suspension make the drive more exhilarating. There have been plenty of reviewers who have said the same thing without casting shadow on this type of vehicle. This reviewer is not giving it credit where it’s due with his dumb remark of the mouse making the whole car seem bad.

@@gswade4368 For me, sport plus literally makes no difference for throttle - I have driven the normal 350 many times and the acceleration feels exactly the same. In fact, I tested it between my 2019 f sport in sport + and my friends 2015 350 non f sport in sport, and we were exactly tied. As for avs - yes there is a difference but it is so minuscule that the normal driver cannot tell. I actually deleted avs in my car and installed tein flex z coilovers and holy crap it completely changed the car. It feels like it is on rails, while still being super comfortable and riding like stock in a straight line. Now theres no body roll and I feel that all the hidden potential in my car is fully unlocked way past my expectations.
