Thank you for your feedback. Yes I have heard that issue in some of the older Pilots but I think Honda has changed the system and it is much better now. I don't really do 'reviews' because so many people do them and they cover about everything on the vehicle Except the tips and tricks.

I started to watch because the title said 2014 which I own. Many of the set up options are different from the 2013 Honda CRV.

I learned three things with the first 2.5 minutes I didn't read or learn anywhere in any manual by Honda. Kudo's for great video and information.

I intend to purchase this model year sometime in the near future. I actually test drove one on yesterday, as well as its big brother, the Honda Pilot. I like the way how they both drive.

yes it is compatible. Please remember that different phones will not do everything. Honda has a web page that can list all the features for all the different phones. the mail differences between LX and EX are tinted windows, power front seat, alloy rims and Sunroof. I noticed when my front wipers are on, the rear wiper will come on as well if you shift into (R)everse, a nice feature.

​@@charleskiragu1735 if you can't read that manual, you can use a camera app to translate it for you by simply using the camera and show what does it say and for it to translate it for you.

Did your blue tooth ever allow you to make outgoing calls that the receiver of your call could actually understand you when speaking? or did you sound garbled to them? Never could resolve my issue. Honda did not fix. I understand that is the case for hundreds of 2013 honda owners. Toyota's are fine.

They are the same around the speedometer but the iMID screen you can change the color.

they are specifics on the size of the pic. you have to resize them prior to loading them into your flash drive then to your crv. the info on the size needed is in the manual.

Great Tips, 'Comfortable Runabout Vehicle', my Wife is on her 3rd CRV, We thought it meant 'Compact Recreational Vehicle'...I have a 13 EX-L Accord and an iPhone, I learned a few tricks to apply for my car as well..Thanks Jason.

Congrats on your new CRV. Yes after pressing the 'phone' button select 'NO' and it will prompt you to add a phone. or in the phone settings menu you can 'add' a phone. Please let me know if that works

I will check out your other videos so I know all the thus & tricks available in the CRV. I will check to see if my salesman knows what CRV means as you pointed out in the video!

How often will the Navigation system need to be updated, and what's the cost? Great tips. I learned more watching your video than my salesman knew.

Hi Jason, I just picked up the CRV EXL, and I love it. I'm coming from a car, which I put in a custom audio system in. The audio is okay on the crv, but I'd like to improve it. Should I transfer my amps and 10" subwoofer to this vehicle? And do you think I'd benefit from replacing the stock speakers? I can't seem to find any documentation on the brand of speakers, or if the head unit has hi volt RCA preouts.

I got this figured out. In order to get the address book to download fully, a $2 app called "Bluetooth Phonebook" can be used for the car to recognize and download your address book to the car. As far as the texting goes, I went to my Honda dealer and the tech called Honda directly and they told him to order a software update which should be arriving any day now. They hope that will fix the texting issue as I found out it wasn't my phone because it worked in my friend's 2013 Civic.

Hi, thanks alot for very informative tips, i got my 2014 CRV with satnav few weeks ago, problem i have us the small screen on top shows Aux so my radio/satnav screen remains off and i cannot get rid of it, any advice?

Yes you can leave a battery disconnected for a 10 month period. I would recommend driving the car for the brakes and some fluids to move around.

I mean it when I say I ran screaming to the garage during this video not just once, to pair my phone, but a second time as well to change the automatic lock and unlock door settings. I had assumed there was no bluetooth since there was no obvious bluetooth button.

Jason, could you please show this for the CR-V w the Navigation system? Also, how does one Pause/Play music from the iPhone Music app if the iPhone is connected to the CR-V through the USB port? The UI on the screen (of vehicles w the Nav system) seems to have the skip buttons, but no Pause/Play.

After a lot of manual reading and trials with several drives, I finally got, using all of the steps that your video showed, a wall paper loaded to the screen.....but....unlike your demonstration where your import filled the entire screen, my wallpaper is a small patch maybe 25% of the size of the screen. How do I expand it to fill the screen. BTW.....numerous wallpaper attempts were rejected....too large.... too large....too large. Do I have to somehow get to some size of file that is one screen's worth to fill the screen?

@4:45 you would be so surprised at how many of these cars that will NOT let you adj the CUSTOM settings. It's some type of software issue and when you finally get it changed at random it goes back to where it was. There are tricks that sometimes work like Opening the drivers door and closing it again then put the e-brake on then turn the key to the #3 on without starting the engine and then putting the car in drive BUT it doesn't always work. Very frustrating.

Nice video of the display, but what about showing where and what you are pressing to change the display.

Most likely for more media options like internet music streaming and such.

Jason, my question is when you pair multiple phones on the CRV does the phonebook from each phone get downloaded and do they stay separate? My fear is when you download them they combine to make one phone book. I assume that the phone that is currently selected will only have access to their own phonebook. COuld you verify that please?? Thank you very much!!
