All 2014 to 2016 Project Rushmore 103 Twin Cams need to the water pump replaced at some point. There is a revision to this pump. The new design is from the M8 bikes...pump is beefier & more robust. This should have been a recall by Harley but they won't cover it. Cost in Canada is $450.00 for new pump + 3 hrs labor

You're right. We are aware of this pump issue. We even wrote about this cant in MoCo. The answer from H-D is ONE and the same - CONTACT THE DEALER. By the way, all this epic pomp is very sad for those who appreciate Harley.

I ran my 16 Ultra Classic without coolant. The check engine/ temp light turns on every time after some minutes while riding, but i doesnt turn off. How could I know if the fail is from the sensor or the pump?

First you need to fill in the coolant. How can you check the correct operation of the pump or sensor without it? I’ll tell you a secret - even when the engine is running without coolant and the thermometer and check engine are on, it is impossible to overheat the engine, because the main cooling of the engine is air-oil, and the water cooling of the engine heads is made by MoCo for the sake of environmentalists, and you can earn extra money on this device.

I have the same bike. Can you do it without draining all the fluid?

Coolant drains completely

How in the world did you get the torx screws out to remove the 'inner' fairing that covers the lower part of the fan? Mine just spin
