Looks like a good product. 2" level is all you need on a daily driver IMO. Excellent aesthetics and 33" capability.
If everyone watching don’t install the bolts like he did make them face the ground I hit a pothole and the extra thread on the bolt broke my cv axle

I noticed that too and was wondering what the comments say, great job guy. Comments saved my life again 👍
I just bought those with the n3 shocks as well. I'm looking forward to getting it installed. Tires will have to wait as I'm not really willing to toss out a set that have only been on for 2 years. And I'm calling bs on the strut install and UCA just popping loose.
Nice video, very good explanation!

How about a lowering video? Y'all sell the BellTech 2/3 drop kit, which seems affordable & easy compared to a rear flip kit w/ frame notching, etc
I'm adding a light duty Boss snow plow to my 2016 1500. Will this kit be a good choice over the factory spring strut?
Can I use the adjustable rear rough county shocks in my 2022 Z71 with no lift basically no lift ?
Why did you take the upper control arm & tie Rod off ? I just installed my RS9000 XL and used a pry bar with maybe 30 lbs of force & no problems at all !
I have a 6 inch knuckle lift kit can I replace the factory struts with these 2 inch ones to raise the front 2 inches?
This install is the same for a 2013 GMC Sierra?
Very clean and focused video. Thanks. Will be installing next weekend on 2018 canyon. I do not have an impact wrench or air compressor. Will a cordless handle the tough stuff (probably not huh?) .

I've got a couple Milwaukee M18 cordless impacts. They will take off most stuff. If you have a good quality one you're good to go. I'm installing mine over the weekend. I'm skipping juijtsu to do it.

Breaker bar or extendable ratchet handle. Alternatively, cordless impact drivers (Ryobi, Milwaukee, Ridgid, etc) are coming down in price and work great for things like this.
I have a 3 inch motofab front spacer currently on my 2018 chevy silverado. I will be replacing stock struts with the 2 inch rc loaded struts. Basically my question is could I put that 3 inch spacer on that new strut without hurting anything. I do have aftermarket uca fyi. Or should I put the inch and half spacers to get 3.5 inch lift. Thank you for your time.
Just install the exact same lift a on my 15 Silverado and it seems to me like the front it sitting higher than my rear now. Does this need some break-in time to settle?
will this effect being able to alignment?
Just installed these on my 2014 Sierra (4wd). I only loosened the tie rod end and sway bar end link to provide a little more play. You can remove and reinstall the struts without taking everything else apart. HOWEVER, you will have a harder time as you will have to force the old strut out and the new one in. I'm 6'2, 235lbs and could not do it with just a pry bar as some suggest. Maybe if it was on a lift rather than in my driveway I could have gotten a better angle and leverage. Ultimately, I ended up jacking up the bottom of the strut just a bit while pounding out the lower mounting bracket with a 2-3' piece of 1" steel pipe. To install, I jacked up the bottom of the strut and used a pry bar to pop bracket into place. If you don't want to muscle it out and in the way I did, then spend the extra time to disconnect everything. At the end of the day, this is a nice ride improvement over the Rancho strut and spacer puck I had.
Does the sway bar inlink have to come off? Can you conduct the process without this procedure?!
Would you suggest changing uca’s for angles? If so what manufactures rough country doesn’t have for An 18 Silverado
@bmstylee
Жыл бұрын
I've spoken to a few companies including Rough Country and the UCA isn't necessarily needed at this height. You can still use a factory UCA at 2.5" but beyond that you're going to need to upgrade the UCA and rims as they will potentially not work with the modified geometry.
Im pretty sure you don't have to remove all that to install. Maybe the sway links
What footpounds are we suppose to torque then
do 275 70 18s fit?
I currently have the 2" lifted struts installed on my truck as well as 2" blocks in the rear. I want to add an additional 2" spacer to the front. Am i able to stack a spacer above the strut like a normal one? of course id need new control arms.

You could potentially install the spring upside down, but it's unlikely as it would give you issues. Give our tech line a call if you need to troubleshoot. --> 1-888-706-1096
How much installed?
The truck still looks slanted down a little bit or is my eyes ? I want it to be completely stock level with my rear with my 2008 Silverado. So will I have to go 2.5 front leveling kit ? Thanks in advance
@bmstylee

2.5" will do it but you're probably wanting to do an LCA upgrade to help with suspension geometry. anything over 2" starts to put ball joints into a bad position and will wear them out faster.

You want it to squat when you have a trailer on?
Could you theoretically put a 1 inch block on top of the new strut to make it a 3 inch leveling kit and get new control arms?
@AmericanTrucksChevyGMC

You could - but we'd recommmend finding a strut that lifts your truck 3 inches by itself to avoid the spacer all together! -Zach
I need help the top bolts of the strut do not line up the original bolts on top are 4 inches away from eachother and the new one is 4 1/4 away so it’s not lining up

In my previous experiences, there should be a couple flats under the boot that you can put a wrench on, or an external torx on the end of the stud.
Yo to anyone installing !! Put some lube on ball joints before you hammer. It helps !

It could be a suspension lean, similar to the Toyota Tacoma lean. Some set ups are more noticablethan others. On my Tacoma, I personally added a small spacer onto the driver side coilover to even it out more.

Heads up that first 15mm is going to be on there tight if you dont have the right impact. Id recommend soending the $300 at home depot on a milwaukee if it hasnt ever been touched before. I am doing this on a truck that has zero rust (central texas) and that nut is on tight

2” level but don’t set level???? How’s that make sense
@AimingWanderously
Ай бұрын
Your factory rake is 2.5 to 3", so a 2" kit won't make it "level", it's just called a leveling kit because it makes it more level. Besides, do you want your truck to squat when you have a trailer on it or weight in the bed? Likely not, and that's why they put rakes on them.
Im confused why the uca, bar links, and the tie rod was removed from the knuckle? 😅🤣 You can literally easily do this job by just removing the strut and replacing. Only thing you gotta take off is the wheel
@abejr2513

I remove the strut without all the process of removing the tie rod ends and the sway links. I put in the new strut but the bottom control arm sits higher then the strut.
