Can't wait to get this when you get it back in stock. I am getting my 2016 CT200h F sport tomorrow! Can one use a 90 degree hdmi cable for the connection to the box and other device? Seems like it would take up way less space of stuff sticking out plug the way the 90 degree angle would be you could stress relief the cable. I was going to do this but wanted to check to make sure the supplied HDMI cable doesn't have to be used and as long as a quality 90 degree hdmi would be fine.

Does this get CarPlay updated via your phone, or the interface module? For example - if Apple releases a future CarPlay update via an OS update will I see it, or is the interface module stuck on whichever version it was programmed with?

What a great product! How to be sure if my Lexus CT200H F-sport (2015-11) is compatible? Also, my Lexus interface control system is not that square mouse, it's a round wheel, will it works too? You will need the cursor to select the apps

You did am exemplary job on this video. Really great and detailed instruction, helped me a lot with the process, thank you! 😀 On the other hand I'm having some issues because controls and video work flawlessly, but audio doesn't seem to work: aux input (which is the suggested one) only streams a continuous flow of static noises, with just the slightest glimpse of audio very very far in the background. Really don't know where to put my hands in order to fix this :l

Hi @@Thomas-cs8nl , yes I fixed it. First of all, keep in mind that I do not have the exact same android auto box as this one, but a fairly comparable model. The issue as far as I've understood it was that Lexus CT's aux channel is not well grounded, and/or is grounded together with the USB port, resulting in electric noise rendering the channel almost unusable for transmitting audio frequencies. Now, check if your android auto box has one or more cables coming out that are labeled GROUND: I'm giving no insurance here as I'm not a professional electrician, but what I personally did was hooking up one of the GROUND cables with a simple 3.5mm jack to the aux-in port of the car: bam, just like that I immediately got crystal clear sound.

@@RiccardoC Thank you so much for your help. That was it! I connected the AUDIO GND cable of my Carplay box to the AUX port of the car (connecting it to the chassis of the car works as well) and BAM… sound! Awesome!

Yes it will. You must have the CT without nav. We have a separate kit for your CT model: L-GVIF-CB3

whats the warranty? would it survive Texas weather ? 110+ degrees ? would steering wheel controls work ? will it charge the phone while using AA?

One year warranty. Yes it will survive 110+ degrees easily. Volume and phone pick up will work on steering wheel. Seek will not work on steering wheel. Yes it will charge while using AA.

Hello, i am having an issue with my ct200h 2015. After I disassembled everything, i noticed the cable on the carplay module wasn't correct. After that, i did not finish the install of the module but assembled everything back together. When i turned off the car the radio was not working. Everything is well connected but it wont work. I read online that the radio dies after disconnecting the Battery, perhaps it's the same issue. Does anybody have a solution?

It will not void warranty as long as it is installed correctly. Lexus dealers usually will not install aftermarket accessories to the vehicle

You are correct, using the voice command would be faster, which is also available on out kit. All you would have to do is press the mic button on the screen.

why not use vtr connection instead much ready and no need to do any such labor it's just plug and play as new ct is equipped with vtr connection.

khurram41 few reasons: resolution is not as good since VTR is analog and we used digital GVIF for this kit, the factory controls won’t be able to function and you’ll have use an aftermarket remote, and you will also need video in motion controller.
