I appreciate this! Did the same to my w212 2014 E350. Based on my research, it's safer to disconnect the battery to avoid having to recalibrate the cameras a dealership. Unlock the car, leave the keys far away, disconnect the battery and wait 15 minutes before disconnecting the camera. I wasn't sure if I had to disconnect just the hood battery or the trunk, so I did both because I really don't want to go to a dealership for a calibration... Took out the camera as you showed, although I used a flat-head screwdriver instead of a needle-nose. Everything worked well!

Excellent advice and something I should have mentioned. It's always a good idea to disconnect the batteries when changing anything involving electrical components to reduce the risk of shorting something or messing up calibration. Glad that it all worked out for you as well!

Whats the difference between 0009053804 and this one ? I have a 2016 w212 with the luxury grill and it says that the one your using the 0009053902 is not compatible Any idea? Is it a whole different camera or just a updated version of the same thing for 2016 ?

From what I am seeing online, 0009053804 fits 2015-2018 CLS models and the 2016 E-Class. I know the 2016 E-Class had the updated NTG, so my guess is this also resulted in a different front camera. I didn't think that they would need a new camera just for updated software, but then again it's Mercedes and it wouldn't surprise me if that's the case. I have updated my description to include the 2016 part number. I am glad you found this since this was for my 2014 and I had assumed it was the same part # for all years

@@Aaphree I also found a variant that’s questionable Part# :000905150364 If I search on MBparts through my Vin number it says that part will fit my car It also states on MB site that 000905150364 replaced 0009051503 The only thing that i found is that none of those two state 360 View on the part descriptions… But on the 0009053804 it does say 360 The only thing that’s got me confused is why does it say it fits my vehicle through the MB parts search Could it possible be an exact replacement for 0009053804?

Hey man would you be able to show us how to replace the rear/backup camera? My face lifted w212 has a scratched lense which causes a blur and Id like to replace it but Im not sure how :(

Unfortunately I sold the car a while back so I won't be able to make any W212 E-Class specific videos. Based on pictures of the camera, you most likely need to remove the interior trim on the trunk to gain access to the camera

I did the same steps and I replaced it, but I got a black screen! my car is a 2014 W207 coupe e320, do you know what might be the reason?

Did you get a used part? It is possible it is faulty. Does the screen show anything if you plug the old camera back in?
