Where can i get it for my 2015 silverado 1500

Looks cool but I just looked up prices. Yikes! I can't fork over that kind of dough for that upgrade.

Could you upload a quick video of what it looks like at night ? Would you say the light color is blue or white?

Do the headlights need to be on for the bow tie to illuminated or can the bow tie illuminated with just the parking lights on? Just asking because I also have anzo u bar headlights and I like turning on the u bars without the headlights.

I will check it with a volt meter later this week and to confirm it is hot with the running lights. It appears to be tied in with the ambient light sensor on the dash? The bowtie is really only noticeable when it is dark enough outside. Unlike the U-bars on the anzo's which are visible in the day time, you will not see the bowtie on during the day time as it is not bright enough to light up in the day time even though it is on. You can not see that it is on unless you block some of the light out. I will do another video showing this if that helps? Let me know if you have any other questions.

I install the light a bowtie without removing the grills just by using my credit card sliding it on the corner of the bowtie and using a small driver by popping it out simple as that

It should come with a matching black bow tie for the back! It is non illuminated though.

Will the illuminated bowtie turn on if you are only running the DRL's?

Did you have to do any customizing other than drilling the hole? do they come on when you turn off your main headlights and only turn on your fog lights?

Hi there, That is a good question! There were no other mods to make it work besides drilling the one hole in the grille. I have never looked to see if it works with out the headlights or fog lights. I never use my fogs so I know it has nothing to with them and I always have my headlights on auto. I will check tonight to see if it lights up with out the headlights on.

DevilleHtwn illuminated emblem is wired in sequence with the low beams on the headlights. They will turn on with your auto headlights on or just running your low beams.

When you install it did it seem like you can take it apart? I want a color match The part that is not led

Miguel Rocha you can get them through any GM/ Chevy dealer or online through amazon and even eBay.

My kit did not come with that female end that gets attached to the black and white wires, and then attaches to the wire that attaches to the headlight harness. Is there a way to get one?

Did they ever made for a 99 Silverado 1500 .. that looks tight

Correct, Chevy lists this part for the 2014-up HD 2500/3500's. This will also fit the 2014-'15 1500's as they are the same bow tie size. As you can see in the video it fits perfect and was plug and play on my 2015 1500 silverado. I can not confirm that it is plug and play on the 2014 1500 silverado but I do know that the bow tie will fit! If you have a 2016-up 1500 silverado then you need part #84129741

For anyone wanting to do this the new part # is 84518367

Just to clarify, if I wanted a gold one on a 2014 Silverado 1500 Z71 would I get #23306537? Thanks so much!

if you have a k2 2014-2015 silverado 1500 like mine.. GM does not advertise a model number for this truck. They offer one for the 2014-2017 silverado HD 2500/3500 which is what I used. model #23385942 The Bowtie is the same size on the 2014-2017 HD 2500/3500 and 2014-2015 1500 trucks. If you have a 2016-2017 silverado 1500 then you need a different part #23385941

Are your low beams HID lights they don't look like yellow halogen.

blkinvestor when the video was made I was running a Morimoto elite HID kit for the low beams and Opt7 leds for the high beams. I have since taken off the aftermarket Anzo housing and put in OEM LTZ projector headlight housings with FX-R retrofitted projectors using HID for low and high beams.

The led only noticeable at night. It is in no way bright enough to when the sun is up. Once the sun is down it is very noticeable.

You can order it from any GM parts dealer. Apparently they changed the model number. It is now 84518367.

Hey Alex I have a Chevy Silverado 2015 LT and I would like to know if this part # 84129741 would fit . Because the dealership told me that’s the correct one and fits a 1500 and this other part #23385942 only fits a 2500/3500 truck. Can I use the #84129741 for my truck, I’m pretty sure it will fit my truck

Hi Ramiro Lopez, the part #84129741 will not fit a 2014-2015 1500. You will need part number #23385942 if your 2015 1500 Silverado has a a front end like mine.

When GM announced the illuminated bowties they had a part number for a illuminated Gold bow tie on the 2016-2017 silverados part # 23306536 but it has never been produced and released to the public.

Yes it will fit and it "should be plug & play" like mine was. You will have to drill a small hole in the center of the grill for the bowtie harness to fit though which I mention @ 1:14 in the video

Gm-parts does not list the Impala under this part #. The Silverado bow tie is much larger than the Impala so I am pretty sure this would not fit your application. They might have one available for it though? I know that the Camaro has an illumined bow tie option as well so I would check with your local gm parts dealer. Best of luck.

I am not sure if it would fit the 2003 tahoe. I would pick up a used 2014-2015 silverado bowtie and see if that fits. If it does then fork out the money for the illuminated one!

I have a 2015 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT and I used the link you posted in the comments to order my bowtie and when it came in it didn't even come close to fitting as the holes and clips didn't line up and the illuminated bowtie wasn't close to the size of the original from my truck

Hi David that is strange! I am assuming they sent you the wrong part! 1) Are you sure you have the correct part#? Check the part number on the bowtie not the box. Maybe they shipped you a 2016-2017 bowtie instead which is a different size? 2) If it is the correct part Are you sure you have the right side up? There are hundreds of people like myself on the gm-trucks forum that have installed the same part number I have listed on their 2014-2015 silverados. Keep me updated and let me know if you need any help!

According to the gmpatrsdirect website part #84518367 this should work as long as you have 2014-2015 body style truck. They say it replaces the previous model numbers 23385942 & 84346586

The pins and connectors weren’t all put together. I’m having a hard time with the pins! What am I doing wrong? You didn’t even show that part

Check the video again at 1:53 I talk about it and show you where to put them. White wire goes to the plug labeled 1, Black cable goes the the plug labeled 2. The wires will only go in one way. Look at the plug where the wire slides into. the terminal on the wire only slides in one way. once you slide the terminal in the correct way it will snap and lock in place.

Alex Curtis omg I finally got it!! I knew I had the wires right. The locking mechanism wouldn’t let the pins go through far enough. My harness looks different from yours so maybe that’s the confusion. I have a 2016 blackout edition. Anyway I pulled the connectors apart and popped that white locking mechanism out. Taped everything all up after in black anyway. I did run the harness like you did though. Looks clean

how do I install the plug with the black and white wire? The little rods go into the harness connector, but its like they dont go deep enough. so when i connect the two halves its not getting power. I may just by-pass it and maybe just splice the wires together.

yea, its wierd. I pushed them in until they couldnt go in anymore. Even looked inside to see how far in they went and saw both barely peaking out. but then when I connect it with the truck side its like its not making contact when i click the two harness pieces together. So to check i just stuck the two wires (black/white) directly into the truck side harness and it works... So im just not installing those wires correct somehow...

Man that is weird Ricky. I am sorry you are having that issue. Maybe the connector is faulty? You can always connect it how you did and just shrink wrap around it. or cut the off and ad your own quick release connectors.

Hi Jalen, I am do not think the one in this video will fit the front but I have heard that this one from Oracle will fit both the the rear of your camaro. www.rickscamaros.com/camaro-illuminated-bowtie-2010-2013-oracle.html in that link someone mentions that it will work on the front as well. I would verify with them before ordering it though.

According to GM, they only makes them for 2014 and newer. You can try Oracle lighting they might have something?

H W jr. as long as it's the same style as the 2014-2015 K2 silverado it will fit! Like the video mentions you will have to drill one small hole for the bow tie to fit. This is just for the wire stand off to fit.

I did this step by step and no go... instead I now have the driver side front and rear lights not working anymore... I took everything a part and restored everything to factory and still no lights.. any ideas what’s wrong? Pleaseeeee help

I have never heard of this happening before! This sounds like a connection issue since you have already went back to stock & are having the same symptoms. The first thing I would do is check head light connector and body harness connector. Make sure all the pins are tight/not bent/not damaged. After you check all the pins reconnect them and verify that they are on tight and lock in place. If you can pull the connector apart it is not locked in place. I hope that helps. Alex Curtis took it to the dealer.. turned out to be a tripped fuse.. what could have I done wrong during installation to cause a fuse to blow? Any ideas pleeeasseeee?

​@@Arabic_strings18 I'm glad to hear it was just a tripped fuse. Did the dealer tell you which fuse was tripped? It sounds like the was a bad connection or bad wire somewhere. 1. If you go to install the bowtie again I would try disconnecting the battery before working on the wiring first. 2. Check the two pins that you have to lock into the connector that supply power to the illuminated bowtie are in correctly inserted and not loose. 3. Make sure every pin on the connectors are not broken or loose. 4. its unlikely that there would be anything wrong with the harness but I would check the illuminated bowtie wire harness for any splits or cracked wires. 5. Once you have all the connectors in plugged together, check to make sure they are locked in place and not loose. 6. reconnect power to your battery and see if it works then. I am so sorry you are having this issue. This is the only time I have heard of this happening. I hope you update me with what you find and good luck!

Alex Curtis they let me exchange the bow tie because the said it is likely defective... will have sometime next week and post results...as far as the 2 pins- I feel there is where I struggled most... I just wasn’t sure if they were in right or not.. I didn’t realize the tripped fuse until I gave up and put everything back...so for all I know it was connected properly but something while doing th Econ tripped the fuse and it cause the bow tie to not light up....will keep you posted

Mark Montes In this video I had the Anzo “U bar” headlights model #111309 with morimoto Hid low beam and Opt7 led for high beam. Now I have my stock LTZ projector headlights with bi xenon FX-R retrofit projectors with Morimoto hid’s in high beam and morimoto leds In The high beams.

luis valdez as far as I know GM only makes the white color one in the video I have. I got mine off of eBay but you can buy it through any GM dealer and on most websites including amazon. Just google the part # and buy from where you choose.

@@leonliu989 You might have to make the hole larger to fit. I had the same issue when I swapped my grill for a Z71 grill. I had to make the hole larger to fit the stand off from the emblem. Move up a size on the drill bit and see if that helps. Its okay if you make a larger hole as the emblem covers up everything! I hope that helps.

Mark Gonsalves yes the install would be the same but you would need the part number for a 2016-2018. If you have the “new” 2018/2019 1500 then I’m not able to verify it fits.

Advento Cano hmm I would grab a cheap used regular bow tie off of 2014-2018 and see fits your grille. If it does the next thing to figure out if if the headlight harness is the same in your truck. If not you would have to slice wires to make it work.
