This job is very straight forward. Remember after the installation clear the code and drive some yards for the system to read the ABS trigger signals.

Where do I buy a sensor scanner like you have? Or at least one that will work on my Volvo. I went to OReillys and Auto zone and Car Quest and none of the codes come up right. It's been like this for 4 months now.

Did you ever reset the transmission code reset for new oil ? I changed my transmission oil and haven’t yet . Does it matter?

Yes, I always do, does not take any time and it is a good reminder for the next change
My 2013 Volvo XC70 is getting that message. Thanks for your video. It helps. I noticed when you see the DSTC alert on your display at around 20 seconds in, there is a small triangular arrow on the upper right of message. I believe, and could be wrong about this, but it's telling you there, that the problem is in your upper right tire. Now it's not specifying sensor but it might be giving you the location. Am I wrong about this? Or does it represent something entirely different?

I really don't know, it could be a pager sign to go to the next message, but it could be what you say, which in that case kudos to Volvo for the extra info. I'll keep and eye in the future if another message pops up. Thank you for the hint Roi James.

Every error message comes with this triangle.
In my case the garage changed the injector valve. My Volvo has 4 injected valves/dispensers ,two of them, one after the other were changed with in a week time . And it’s expensive x, 40 $ each It feels weird, anything related ?

Never heard of that as cause of a ABS DSTC, which it is related to ABS and traction control. Don't see how the injector failure would disable ABS or DSTC, which are safety feature.
I've replaced wheel sensor. Can i reset message without scanner?

No you can’t but if you don’t have one you can ask any workshop to reset it for you if it does not go away by itself after driving a few kilometers.
My DTSC light has gone away after the garage changed the faulty ABS sensor. But the city safety service required message is still there. Are they related ? Maybe the garage didn’t clear the code ? Thanks

Hi Mustafa, could very well being that they didn't cleared the code. if you have an scanner or somebody can borrow one you could do it your self.

@@BUTTEWORKS thank you. I went ahead and bought a scanner. Indeed the codes were not cleared so I cleared them. I rescanned and no DTC codes were highlighted. However the city safety message still won’t go away. It’s blocking my start/stop. Appreciate any tips. Thanks

@@mustoofa I don't know much about City Safety but does your scanner read all Volvo compatible codes or you just got a OBDII scanner?.
how come the SDTC code went away because you put a new ABS sensor in? Thanks for posting this

DSTC needs ABS to work so once the ABS was fixed problem went away.

@@BUTTEWORKS thanks for the fast reply. I found out my problem. Haldex pump burned out which blew a fuse in the all-wheel-drive system which disconnects the DEM from the MAIN compute generating a SDTC Code. So I know what it is. I just need a new haldex pump. Luckily it’s GEN five, which is easy to replace. Thanks again.

I can't but you can, get an scanner and find out. it could be the sensor, the cable or the ABS module. Swap the sensor with one of another wheel to see if that removes the alarm. You will need the scanner to clear the code and after replacing the sensor drive some meters so the computer re acquires the signal.

Why use glue on the screw?

It is blue loctite so it will come out whenever needs to be removed, however in a place with so many vibrations it gives me peace of mind.

@@BUTTEWORKS I tried to check the fuses but the box defeated me. I wasn’t able to get to them under the top relays.

@@EdensMask I know exactly what you mean, it gave me a hard time too. You can try to swap the sensors from one wheel to the other and see if the problem goes away. The car scanner tells you what wheel, left or right is having the issue so that will help you find out if the problem is the sensor. Bear in mind that after changing the sensors the alarm may be still on, you will have to drive some meters for the system to acknowledge the new signal.

Hi Vladimir, I don't have a lot of experience with Volvo, just this one and so far it has been easy to service.
