2013 Porsche Boxster 3.4 981 S PDK 2dr FD63EVF | Review and Test Drive
After videoing this, I took the long way back, and by "long way" I mean I put the hood down, turned the stereo up and headed in the completely opposite direction to work :-) This is Another beautiful example, it has full Porsche Service History and we are going to have it done again at our local dealer so it is bang up to date, It's finished in Grey Metallic with Black Leather Upholstery with Sports Seats and Aluminium Insets to the Doors, Gear Tunnel, Dashboard and Vents, with Black Electric Hood and 20" Carrera S 10 Spoke Alloy Wheels with Coloured Porsche Crest Centres. The specification includes, the Porsche Communication Management System, 7" Colour Screen, Sat Nav, Bluetooth Handsfree, Bluetooth Audio Streaming, Height and Reach Adjustable Steering Wheel, Power Folding Door Mirrors, Heated Seats, Airconditioning, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, Auto Deployed Rear Spoiler, and the Porsche Dynamic Bi Xenon Light System.
With the lightning-fast gear changes of the PDK box 60 Mph is reached in 5.0 Seconds and it will continue to its top speed of 172 mph, despite its 3.4 6 cylinder engine and ferocious acceleration it is still remarkably economical, and under ideal conditions it is capable of returning up to 45.6 mpg, and due to its low CO2 emissions road tax is also very reasonable at £173.25 for 6 months and £315 for 12.

I’m thinking of a Boxster as a weekend car, what’s your thoughts on auto v manual box and standard v S? Another great video by the way. 👍

Personally I prefer the auto and pdk over the manual, but i wouldn’t say no to a manual either, if money was not an issue i would go for an S, but all are brilliant to drive and i am sure you would enjoy either, and thanks for watching 👍

Barrie, as an intending 981 S owner early in 2023, I found your video really interesting but the sound of the engine & exhaust was too subdued!

Great review , but travelling 30miles to these roads seems a bit silly now, especially in cars like the BMW last week and this which are performance cars and then not being cable to demonstrate them at any speed over 30/40mph. The scenery is amazing, would be great if you filmed the journey back so we could see these on a motorway + country roads. Anyway just my thoughts loved the review!!

Yes I agree, but i go there because the advert thumbnail makes all the difference and i also do the 70 mile round trip to test the cars and make sure i cant pick up on any faults, noises, oil or coolant leaks and i like it there 😎

Worst driving position ever. You are way to far from the steering wheel with arms straight, you can’t control it in case of unforeseen event.
