Fermin Ulit you will need a scan tool that's capable of resetting the adblue system or you can take it to the Dealer!

Hi teacher K well done on showing how to fault find the integrity of the electrical circuit before chasing to buy new adblue injector.I have a question,is the adblue fluid there to keep the dpf clean or to remove the Nox gases or both .In this particular sprinter is the adblue injector spraying into dpf or what thanks in advace

Rafiek Ahmed Great question! the DEF Fluid Breaks the Nox gases in the exhaust system for emission purposes, what cleans the DPF is the regeneration process, the injectors stay on during the exhaust stroke to allow diesel fuel to get in the exhaust system to clean the soot in the DPF

I have a 2015 freightliner sprinter with 178k miles...on 9/19/22 I was on the hwy doing about 60mph and all of a sudden a light popped up on the dashboard that looked like an ice cream cone surfing on water with 2 water droplets on top....i connected my scan tool and it gave me a code P13DF00 and then the van said I had 9 starts left... I searched around and found a euro mechanic and we got the talking... he said he knew a guy that knew a guy that knew a guy that can delete the def system... I agreed.. I had no choice... 🤷🏼‍♂️ the damn van was telling me I had 4 starts left! And every mechanic i called claimed that they dont work on diesel vehicles and the ones that do work on diesel vehicles... dont work on sprinter vans... I even went as far as trying to book an appointment with the benz dealership... and they didn't have any openings until mid October 🥴 so I took the truck in yesterday 9/20/22 and he called me this morning 9/21/22 and said the truck is ready.... yaay!😃 he was able to re program the computer and delete the def system... I no longer have that light on the dashboard... I know or atleast i think the particulate filter still needs to be cleaned or atleast be maintained... I will buy a bottle of liqui Molly particulate cleaner and purge and try to do it myself.

@vincentde-paulyawdoe8076 your crank sensor or fuel pump might be the problem, but I recommend you take it to a pro mechanic who can diagnose it for you!

Surely your test lamp, or a loop, will just spoof the engine light off. E.g. while you source a replacement and/or service the ad blue system.

Mine is a 2014 Honda Crosstour. I have a "screen with numbers", not like his. I turned on the power, hit 1 and 6 and the radio button and it worked. Not entering anything. The ignition is also a "pushbutton". Just because my battery disconnected the radio, power went off and it said Code. IDK, maybe they made it easier. So stupid to need a code anyway.

Dany Chacon if the airbag module was impacted that may cause a no start condition, you should take to a pro mechanic to have it diagnosed!!

Hello how can i remove derate condition,fault codes are repaired no more active or pending codes, but still def light in dash and I don’t have oem diag tool.I have e-tech not allowing me to perform any test and I can’t drive on highway self diag and passed bcoz due to derate condition any solu to get rid off Derate.

bob haz add blue is known for it!!

soak old injector in boiling water for 10 min then retest, i bet the injector will work again, nox fluid dissolves with water no need to purchase new injector, water fixes it everytime

There is no need to adblue injector replacement but it is clean by water then it will be working condition. 😅😅😅😅😅😅
