For those of you who are curious the airbag part is NOT necessary. HOWEVER!!! You absolutely must keep the clock that sits at the top plugged in or else you will have an airbag light. You can. Just tuck that clock off to the right and you'll be just fine.

@@KamotoSam sorry for the late response, unfortunately it won't. It looks like it'll slot but it won't because it's got too much material on the back of it to fit. The slot on the right side is meant for right hand drive vehicles so the hazard button can slot in there.

Yeah, so seeing other installation videos for this kind of kit and for a reverse camera, this could have been a lot more thorough on connecting the back up camera to the deck and how to connect it to the the back up light in the back. Could have also show that you can stick the airbag/seatbelt sensor on the back of the kit (it's pretty easy to do). This looks more like a "look what I did good luck" video rather than a "DIY tutorial" which is what a do it yourself video should always be.

Wish you went into more detail about things like the passenger air bag light. The way you did it is WAYY better than just have the module (including the light) just hanging out behind the dash not visible. Do you think i went to a junk yard and got the indicator from a model that had the Navi screen it would plug in no problem?

For anyone who might have questions about this let me know, I'm daily driving a similar one in my car. I've had ownership of my sonata for about 4-5 years and I know the in and outs of these cars like I know the back of my hand. And have even restored about 2 of them from bad wrecks.

@@mohamednoor2147 It's not recoverable. Bluelink while it has a separate module also relies on the OEM radio to function as it has additional modules in thebradio

@@mohamednoor2147 Don't quote me but you MAY be able to keep remote functions (mobile app, find my car, etc,) but you definitely will not be able to call bluelink or have the SOS response

I have the same car and I’ve tried this exact Android radio plus two more. A few issues; (1) Audio don’t sound good because it doesn’t have a built in amplifier like your factory radio. I tried adding an aftermarket amp and still didn’t sound as good. (2) Also, the mic for Bluetooth calling doesn’t work well like the original mic which is located above the driver by the visor. If you talk on the phone via Bluetooth while driving often, don’t waste money on these radios because they don’t work even if you’re shouting. Most times your phone will be trying to reconnect. (3) The touchscreen looks cute but doesn’t function as well because if you want the KZread or other apps, you have to buy a SIM card from your phone company or use hotspot from your phone to get online since the only things that actually function are back up camera, radio and to some extent the off-line built in gps which is programmed into the unit. Not real time (like Google/Waze/Apple maps) so you can’t see any live traffic without internet connection. *I’ve noticed that nobody uploading these reviews says the bad things because you’re not only buying this to look good in the car but to also function by giving you great sound to match the factory radio. Base & treble are non-existent. Just a ‘mono’ sound like an old AM radio. Speaker settings -Right, left, rear etc don’t work either. You’re stuck with only one sound setting. With your original radio you can play audio on either front or back speakers. Keep your factory radio, it sounds better and is more practical. I mine back. Not to mention the ‘outside temperature’ feature doesn’t work on the aftermarket radio. lol

Since I’ve installed this radio I only have one of the issue you listed. That’s the mic quality while driving. The background noise reduction seem to also reduce the mic reception. The sound quality is good and loud. Left, right, front and rear speakers works in surround sound mode. Far from mono sound. Regarding real time maps, I use CarPlay on this android deck. Once I plug my usb charger to my phone I can pull up Apple Maps or google maps on the deck and have real time traffic. That’s how most new cars work with an lcd screen and android or CarPlay. Not so different. KZread and other apps that need internet is not a problem. I just turn on wifi hot spot on my phone since I have unlimited data plan for my carrier. This android deck has more options and capabilities than my other SUV I just bought (2021 Hyundai palisade). That SUV can’t do KZread or download new apps from play store.

Yes, Bluetooth works but issue with poor microphone reception only while talking and driving

Seatbelt indicator is available on eBay, unfortunately there is no way to save the tempature readout. Keep in mind the seatbelt indicator that is available does not work for the headunit bezel and you have to modify it to make it to work. If you're worried about having a blank spot my kit came with a cover for it.

Your car is equipped with a stock amp, unfortunately these radios won't accommodate for external amp and you need an adapter to make them work

You may need a secondary adapter, the limited has an amplifier and the radio isn't compatible without the adapter

I have the same unit, you can install it yourself easily, it comes with special harnesses so everything is plug and play. Stuff like the vents are just Phillips screws. In terms of Apple Carplay you can get adapters for around $80 depending on what you want. If you need any kind of help let me know, I can video call and help if needed or give you some help

@@noelviera1259 No, they come with a function that lets you integrate the steering wheel controls. You will not lose Bluetooth. You will still have FM radio but you will lose Satellite Radio and AM radio

I don't understand why anybody would go through all that trouble and expense just to have a tiny little screen the screen is so small you might as well just use your phone with roav Bluetooth FM band converter plug-in cigarette lighter or AC accessory plug in roav device that works in any vehicle with a radio be a whole lot cheaper and a whole lot simpler and wouldn't have to risk electrical problems. Heck they even have the new Advanced ones that are Wireless. For around 40 bucks sold at Walmart called roav charger with Bluetooth that works with the FM band single via Bluetooth that the roav device allows you to utilize. Using your phone or laptop device. That will play through your stereo sound system. The new ones you don't even have to take the phone out of your pocket or purse. if you just want to listen or you can use your phone screen display just like you would use a car screen display. You can even pick out a list of songs that are your favorite on KZread and have them play through your car speakers. So if you're listening to something on your phone or have something already programmed into your phone and will then play on your to your car stereo as well Even comes with Clips to attach to your phone and then AC air vent or any other area that you can clip the phone holder or slips into a cup holder and of course you can also use any phone holder to place anywhere in the car. I simply Place mine in front of the speedometer because if you have it on Android auto it'll also list the speed you're going anyway. Legally if the phone is not in your hand it is same principle and follows the same laws using your phone screen as your car display . Then you have the advantage of actually being able to play videos on KZread or whatever you choose to play that you wouldn't be able to do on your car screen display. whatever streaming services on your phone of course a lot of those services are absolutely free like basic KZread Spotify or Pandora. There are even some XM apps available that are free instead of paying a yearly fee or monthly fee you would of had to pay for if you used a manufacturer built in car display unit. Giving you even more advantages then regular car display again that will play through your car stereo speakers simply by tuning your radio to a FM radio station and then tuning that station to the Rove device that plugs into your cigarette lighter or AC plug-in and lights up LED of the radio station you have chosen that comes in the best single clarity. That converts Bluetooth into an FM band wave. So you can enjoy full surround sound with super clarity will sound better than any radio station you ever heard before because the signal is being transferred from your phone to the roav unit And still allows you to charge the phone at the same time if you wish. Depending on model either wireless charging or wired. Also depending on model whether you want wired or Wireless signal transmission to the roav unit. Also allows you to send and receive phone calls even text messages visually being able to see on phone or if you have voice text or simple Google Android auto app which again is free also play through your speakers just like it would do on your cell phone or laptop And you can still use Android auto carplay or Apple or Waze basically everything you do on your phone sounds through your car speakers and comes with a built-in microphone to the roav unit as well can utilize your built-in phone microphone as well giving you basically capability of dual microphone so it understands your voice much better than regular car manufacturer built in units be able to answer those calls or say hey Google call such-and-such person or hey Google show me nearest Taco Bell whatever you get the idea. The whole process takes less than five minutes to set up and once it's set up you never have to worry about it again. Because it remains an app on your phone. So it automatically picks up your phone every time you enter into the car if your cell phone is with you. And the car is turned on either in battery mode or engine running mode. Just simply simpler in fact even with the car off you can go on your cell phone and find out exactly what parking space your parking space is because it has a built-in location finder as well you can either have on or off. Works great for tracking your car when you let somebody use it. All of this for around 40 to $60 depending on what model you choose. They even have the basic model for around $25. I really enjoy mine I've had it years now and it's extremely dependable and reliable no problems whatsoever. Very simple to use.

@@marquiscityyt9208 if people are doing it for aesthetic then why don't they designers of this product design something that looks much better with a much bigger screen they certainly have plenty of room to do so. Especially if you're going to go through the trouble of removing all of that involving complicated wires why not just replace it with a different platform that lines up with the alignment of screws and snap-ins. So that the screen is large enough to actually be useful to the driver to see clearly without straining. I mean seriously what good is the map if you can't see it. And the apps would be so small that they would just look like color Square pegs on the screen. Especially when they have a split-screen. I just don't see it being any more practical than the size of a phone many phone screens these days are larger. Then this so-called built-in screen for Aesthetics.

Installed mine, loved it at first it looked beautiful and amazing. But that's where it ended I HATE THE FREAKIN RADIO power constantly cuts out, sound quality is horrible, sometimes it hits hard and sounds amazing other times it just cuts off. Screen mirror never worked, now it's non functioning, the glass touch screen is falling off and hanging by the cable. It totally sucks I'm putting my factory stereo back in. Asap mine is a KUNFINE and after receiving and installing and problems started I immediately demanded full refund, which I promptly got back and shipper told me to keep the unit so I guess I can't complain too much cuz I got a $400 stereo for free lol but I still hate it and have had nothing but random electrical problems throughout the entire car, dash lights and guages jumping and falling engine light traction control air bag uggh its a nightmare
