2013 Ford Edge fuel gauge & distance to E problems
I took my 2013 Ford Edge into the Ford dealership because the fuel gauge and "distance to E" goes bonkers 2-3 times/week. I can start with almost a full tank, drive 30 miles, and the car thinks it's almost out of gas. But when the system resets (see end of video), everything goes back to normal. Dealership replaced the fuel sensor, but it still acted up. So they spoke with Ford techs directly and cleared all the codes. But it still acts up. Problem is that it doesn't happen daily, so they don't see it when I bring it in and keep it for a couple days. I can't keep dropping it off in hopes that it happens that day, but I'm at a loss. Any suggestions on what it could be??

My Ford focus has the same problem, I filt the tank since then the feul meter goes up
This happen to me last week it said I had a full tank then the gas gauge started going down
Just started to have this issue on my 2013 Edge SEL too, weirdest thing ever. No answer from anybody on it yet.
Hi has anyone had this problem solved i have it on my 2016 Ford Taurus. I've replaced the fuel sending unit but it has the same problem. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.
I have 2018 Focus. I filled it. Fuel gauge says full but Distance to Empty says 130 miles. It should say 400+ miles!

Same issue with my For Kuga 2015. It's not the sensor problem because when I crossed check the total KMS prior refill and after travel there's a complex discrepancy. Say I drove 100 KMS on ODO meter but the actual analog fuel gauge shows very level and same with the digital reading distance to travel says 8km.and that's right mean fuel level have come down.may be due to excessive consumption or the fuel escape from fuel tank due to low atmospheric pressure. Im working out to fix the issue

I’m having the same issue with my 2014 Edge, but when I turn my car off and back on the fuel gauge still reads low. For instance, I filled up my tank and drove 10 miles and the gauge dropped 60 miles. It’s so frustrating..

I have this issue in my 2013 Taurus and it was just supposedly fixed as well. The same issue was fixed about 3 years ago and it was fine until recently.

Geoffrey Thompson sorry for the late reply. Hopefully you got it taken care of. I took it to two dealerships. The first couldn’t figure it out and replaced a part that didn’t fix the issue. The second replaced the fuel pump sensor which solved the problem.

Mine was working fine had 8 miles left til E and put 10$in cuz its like 15 degrees where I'm at and it still reads the same I shut off the and it still says 22 miles here's the kicker no low fuel light comes on..I have a 2015 awd explorer same dash as u
