I just replaced the L engine mount on my 2013 3.6L V6 Durango. And yes you do have to remove the upper intake manifold to get the clearance from the upper fire wall. I didn't loosen the R mount at all but I did loosen the trans mount. I had to jack the engine up almost 3 inches to get the mount out and in. The exhaust pipe was hitting the fire wall while jacking.... What a pain!! I had the upper intake off because I was changing all 24 lifters and all 24 rocker arms plus the L exhaust Cam do to the dreaded tick of these V6s. Good luck guys!!

Do I need to take the upper intake off if I’m changing my starter ? I was told tht I at least had to loosen motor mount to slide it over a lil to slide the starter out 🤦🏾‍♂️ I’m doing the bottom support method to take all the weight off the mount so I’m able to loosen the bolts

Great video, I'm going to be doing the oil pan gasket and oil pan soon and figured I might as well do the engine mounts while I'm in there but this video will definitely help with the mounts

@Adrian-kw1ks nice, it wasn't to bad with all the videos out there. The only snag I hit was that the new oil pan I ordered came with bolts that were to long and a gasket that was to short. I fixed it by installing the stock oil pan bolts to the new pan and using a mahle pan gasket. It's been fine the last couple of years.

Just did my Jeep GC laredo v6, one thing different in the v6 engine you need to remove the intake manifold to clear the fire wall i though the passenger side was a little more complicated than the drivers side.

If you have a strange oil spot on the garage floor and it doesn't look like any oil you've seen before it's your motor mounts. Smells stinky as hell.

@@stewartwhittley2211 My '14 v8 durango (only 46k miles) driver side mount rubber cracked and the fluid leaked out (which is how i figured out the mount was bad). estimate i got from local dodge dealer this week was ~$800 for driver side. I asked if they did both how much and they said $700 for passenger side.
