    Well done. I began watching this to diagnose a failure to prime and then like mentioned its cheap insurance to just replace it. An '09 w/20k and absolutely no other issues. Thanks!

    wish you would have showed that actual swiping out of parts for the fuel pump

    Good vid, but the critical step for me that I am stuck on and is not shown in this video, is removing the old housing (that the pump itself sits in) to get to the strainer (to replace). I have removed the hex screw at the bottom of the housing, cant see any other, but its not coming away from the aluminum base of the unit. Any ideas? EDIT: There's two of those hex bolts, not easy to see, in case anyone also gets stuck.

    Everything was working fine. Since the battery and fuel pump were not on any of the service records, I decided to play it safe and replace them. It was short money for peace of mind.
