Do all the 2013 driver mirrors have the wiring for the auto dimming. I replaced the entire mirror assembly but did not have auto dimming and now want to replace the glass with one.

Can this process be replicated on a 2014 Ford Taurus SEL? Been looking but cannot find related video????

Does the proximity sensor works inmediatly or it has a delay in start working?

It should be very similar!

If they have the auto dimming on the mirror does the vehicle dimming from their a vehicle comes from the front

At 240 you replace the glass without the grounding pin. Is that an Issue?

What’s that long middle stick on the mirror for though

It’s what sits inside the motor to move the mirror.

I have a 2018 fusion Platinum with side detect mirrors. My passenger side mirror was robbed and I have a replacement mirror. Do you have a video on how to install it? The mirror i have is different from what you show and I'm afraid to install before I have all the information. It would be greatly appreciated since this mirror was not cheap. Thanks

Are you replacing the whole mirror unit or just the mirror glass?

@@gadgetguy5871 Okay. It's almost exactly the same except there is 1 extra wire connction. This one is more like a small harness. Simply pull it apart and then reconnect on the new mirror. @@sideviewparts Thanks and I looked at the site and I noticed that the mirror didn't exactly look like the one I bought. It had a metal tab about a 1.5 long that not sure what it's for.

@@gadgetguy5871 the metal tab is simply a stabilizer for the mirror glass.

Just a quick warning. This company seems to no longer be in business, although their website still runs and accepts orders. Wanted to support glad smaller business. Ordered on 02.06.24, expected delivery was the 14th-20th. On the 20th, still had not been fulfilled, much less shipped. Have not received responses(today being the 24th) via email, and the phone number to Sean goes straight to VM. Didn't want to get a distorted one from Amazon. Grabbed an entire side mirror from the local junkyard for $32.

@3lC0N3J0BUGS I was worried about getting a fisheyed or warped cheap mirror. Most of the ones I looked at had reviews stating such and didn't want to risk that for a family members car. They did end up shipping the mirror, however the mounting point for the metal bracket to the motor is not correct and completely unusable....even with their provided bracket.
