I push a 2013 cam. Does the ipod turn off with the car when connected thru usb? My ipod dies. Then comes back on & recharges. Do I need to turn it off manually. After turning off the car to save it's battery?

Will this work with an iPod Nano? I've tried it with mine, but my iPod says it isn't accessible.

Great video , but my case is different, can't afford to play the USB file in the car . When I plug it in , it shows me the names of the files but does not play any of them ... can you help ?

Excellent video and helpful explanations! You mentioned on the video and we have also experienced in our 2012 Camry that when we plug our iPhone into the USB (primarily to charge it), it automatically switches the "source" to the iPhone/iPod and begins playing whatever music was last played. We would prefer that the audio system continue playing the FM or Satellite radio versus automatically switch to play the iPhone/iPod. Is there a way to "turn off" the automatic source switching?

Is this just for ipod?? Because I tried to connect to it w. A mini sd card in a adapter ....

Great video, just what i needed to know. two things that you missed - what happens when you turn off the car while you are playing the ipod. Does it turn off until you turn the car back on and start from the place you left off or do you have to turn the Ipod off also? Also, will the radio automatically go into Ipod mode once you plug in the Ipod cable?

Any rules about when to connect/turn on -- for example, should the iPod be turned ON after connecting or before, and should the USB cable be disconnected when the car is turned off?

Great video. My problem is that I connected my USB cord to the USB port and now the cord will not detach from the port. Why is that? It's as if it is locked in place. Vehicle is a 2015 Camry.

I had same problem, then i changed just usb flash drive to toshiba. Now it seems good

Important note. ONLY Ipod Touch not original ipods. This may be possible with aux instead of usb but a bit old schooled you would think being 2012 car. I did have the basic function SE model but still be thinking should've been stock function.

I did plug into aux and play music on iPod the aux screen isn't highlighted so I can't turn it on so music just goes thru iPod

That's definitely not a standard Camry stereo. It must be an optionally upgraded one.

So you're pretty much saying this car is the Bat Mobile w/o the option to hit a button on your remote and have it drive up to you. You guys should work on that feature.
