2012 Squier Classic Vibe Tele | My Thoughts On Classic Vibes Over The Years

Ойын-сауық

Hi folks, ive spoken about the CV guitars before but since i have this one i thought id do a seperate video for them. This particular one, the 60s custom tele has always been my favourite of the bunch, and usually the hardest to find now. Let me know what you think! At the time of this vid going out, I have found some great guitars to add to the store this week after theyve been through the set up etc. All links below as always, thanks for watching.

When you played the first chord progression, I was like that sounds like dosed. Then once u played over the loop I went crazy lol. Love the peppers too, good stuff man. I'm planning on getting a CV model myself soon as they said older CV models are better. The model I'm looking at is a 2012 so I hope they do still have those tonerider pickups. Great vid!

Benefits of the old ones are alder body, rosewood necks and tonerider brand pickups as stock. For this model they also got the 3 tone sunburst more accurate. Current version is more of a red two tone.

Exactly - and they had a little bit chunkier neck too then comparable modern ones that are smaller. Which is preference thing but i dont really like super slim necks

i have a 2010 60's classic vibe. 3 tone burst. it's great. the headstock logo only says "telecaster" instead of custom telecaster. it could very well have gotten a neck switch at the factory as i thought all the bound ones has telecaster custom on the headstock. i souped it up with a van zandt bridge pickup. it's likely i'll use my tele neck i have sitting around. a maple 50's fender neck (from a mij tele). the classic vibe neck is great enough for a project guitar of the future.

Interesting video, thank you! I'm currently using my girlfriend's 2011 60s CV telecaster. I originally borrowed it because I spent most of my budget on the amp, with the intention of later buying a guitar for myself. But the CV plays and feels so good... it's honestly hard to justify getting anything more expensive. I owned a 2012 MIA Standard Strat, and the feel of the CV is honestly better. Either way im considering getting another guitar for myself at some point. Do you have any recommendations? I saw you own the new (and old) Sterling Cutlass which seems to be a great deal for the money. What other guitars in the price range up to 1000€/$ would you recommend, and is it even worth spending more nowadays? Would much appreciate some advice, thanks!!

A good amp will always get the most out of even the cheapest guitar. So was a good call to invest there. The cutlass is another great mid range price point guitar, i have 1 left on sale atm 😁. Dont discount shopping for used guitars either as you can make your money go a longgg way. What sort of tones/feel are you after?

Hi! Currently have a Fender Jason Isbell model Tele but struggling to justify the cost so recently picked up a brand new 60's CV esquire but found the neck to feel quite slim and narrow. You mentioned that the earlier CV's had a different neck carve, could you explain the differences please? Also found the bridge pickup to sound very shrill when compared to the Isbell, I know there is a big price difference but I'm eager to find a cheaper alternative as I usually play Gibsons but want a Tele in the collection just because! Any help would be great, thanks!
