Always loved the old Skoda Yeti. Beautifully made. Not so much the newer model. Those round fog lamps are simply to die for. Superb views ... can’t believe you used 5 cameras. Lovely English roads and great light. Definitely one of the best and honest reviews in years. Great job Barrie.

Hi Barrie, Regarding the placement of column stalks behind the quarter to three position on steering wheels, I've been told it came from customer clinics in the 90's. High mileage company car drivers said they wanted the stalks at "finger tips" from the quarter to three position for motorway driving.

Kevin Smith you could be right, but just an inch further up, snd you could see everything, and some cars are perfect and you can see them

Perhaps they found it too much effort to move their hands that far ha ha. The way most late plate Audi's are driven, I think you're mean't to guess where they're going and get out of their way so they don't have to bother indicating at all!

@@kevinsmith6269 have to agree, worst culprits I find are owners of Audi's and Bmw's, so damn annoying

I drive a yeti 4x4 2.0tdi,its first generation (best in my opinion) I'm very fussy and hard to please but they're a good solid car, steady on the road, good high driving position, roomy, good mpg, pulls like a train, I got it remapped from 140bhp to 185bhp,great job....... 👍

Hi I'm thinking of getting the 150bhp 4x4 too...how do you find the oil consumption after the remap? Any different?

@@user-ck6kq8zl2i barely a difference, a small increase is expected depending on driving style, I'd average about 45upwards,had 3 mates in the car and done 110miles,mostly mountainous climbs, she pulled in 49mpg average, can't whack that

@@user-ck6kq8zl2i sorry man OIL consumption, yea it uses a little bout a quart annually, hasn't increased since the remap, the car just goes better in my opinion, it was like it felt held back/smothered before, now it just wants to be driven, you'll never look back, trust me I'm the most cautious person you'll ever meet, especially when it comes to my car.....

Ah ok, thanks for that . I ask as I had an Octavia Vrs diesel remapped, which I think is a similar engine. Remap made it go like a rocket but it did use more oil. Had to put in a litre every 1700 miles so wary of doing another remap...but sounds like yours is ok.

How has the steering wheel rim wore at the top?

usually its a combination of perfume/hand sanitiser/makeup and direct sunlight which affects the material and causes it to flake off
