now that was a surprise!!! That 570 is quick for a single cylinder!!

They updated the transmission for the 570, so it isn't all about the engine. While the 570 is a newer design and very powerful for its displacement, the transmission does a better job of getting that power to the wheels efficiently. I suspect the transmission loses that advantage at higher speeds and loads. Also, that's where the advantage of 2 cylinders (torque) and displacement takes over. I also suspect the 800 has taller gearing at higher speeds because it has the power to pull it. Either way, the 570 setup is impressive. I traded a Sportsman 800 in for a Rzr 570, and find the 570 to be surprisingly powerful. It is no 800, though, at higher speed. My Sportsman would still pull at 75mph. I'm told a 570 Rzr tops out at 60. The Rzr does have a weight disadvantage to my old Sportsman 800, though.

Yeahhh but, the little engine are going to have less durability than the 800 cc

I think the 570 has a lighter weight advantage which suits its smaller single cylinder.

I've seen lots other videos like this where after 40mph the 800's start walking away, so I suspect driver reactions or tuning or sumthing is suspect here

It looks like a tie but were both drivers flooring the gas pedal? LOL! I've heard the 570 can hang with the 800 until about 45 to 50 mph and then the 800 pulls ahead. If this is true, then on most forest trails they will run at similar speeds since you typically can't drive 50mph on a twisting narrow OHV trail. More like 25mph. Nice vid bro!

+OG BB yes it is true. The 570 can do 0-40 in about 4 seconds. I just got a 570 and it's pretty fast up to 45 then slows way down

yeah I had to get a HD belt but my 2016 570 does better than most and its cheaper I legit have a 2 or 2.5 hilifter kit and 27s 8.5 14 general grabbers and I can still grab 64mph barley but can always grab it and can hold my 55 but 0-35 is all my trails really pull and I can get my full experience. I think a 900 would have been nice to have but only for 10% of the time the rest it would just be wasted cost or lugging the motor for what the 570 does at mid power

The s is wider larger and more lbs. Do a race of 800vs570 both non s versions

I have an 800,Its actually 74? cc's,where the 570 is actually 570 cc's. I believe the 800 is a proven motor,we will see on the 570.

polaris 800s are 760cc sohc's and the 570s are 567cc dohc's, each have 4 valves per slug

I have a 2013 570 with 6443 miles and it will still kick the shit out of an 800
