Thank you, my friend. You really saved me with this video because I was able to repair my car without paying any money and without going to the mechanics.

It’s interesting to me that your Diesel engine has vacuum is there some sort of throttle plate or a vacuum pump perhaps. I don’t think any of our American diesels have manifold vacuum. Back in the 1980s & 90s the pickups had vacuum pumps to supply the brake booster. Most now have gone to a far more reliable hydro booster.

One of my first ever videos so explanations weren't considered well 🤣 yes the feed for the boost control solenoid comes directly from a vacuum pump.

How did you end up fixing the cam position code (p0341), I have the same issue. I cleared it and it didn’t come back for a while then one day came back. I have a 2007 crd patrol, cheers

It must have been a history code Jack, it never returned. Which code is the one that came back for you?

@@romanosautomotive the code that came back was p0341, the car has since been unreliable to start. Sometimes it’s fine and other times it turns over but gets no revs or it stutters then starts, I’m not sure if this problem is related although, It could be air in the fuel line. I got the sensor out the other day and it was clean, so I’m not sure what’s happening.
