    I have a 2011 Mazda 3 and honestly? It’s a great first car, not only is it quick but you can also mod tf out of it and make it look super nice. Mazda is definitely one of the best kept secrets 😌

    @@jays5926 because its a civic lmao. totally different price range my guy its a type R lol they are not cheap even being a normal civic or an accord. Not only that bur their ugly as fuck and don't like the transmissions on them rather just buy a Mazda speed3 lol. Not only that but Mazda's are heavily under looked and rated. they are very reliable and actually fast for a standard everyday driving car. they aren't race cars but they look really nice if taken care of.

    Meredith Welbourn thank you I appreciate it! I sold it back in January however it was a great car that I’ve owned for a year and put 10,000 miles on it throughout my ownership. It is a phenomenal car in gas especially in the highway. In the city it gives okay gas mileage but of course it depends how you drive. Since I live in Florida my city driving wasn’t good at all lol. Other than that it was a great car and very reliable too!

    Great video man. I have a 2012 as well as my first car and have had it for two years now and i love it. Funny enough mine threw a check engine light for the mass airflow sensor as well except after replacing the sensor the light still returned. After further digging I'm leading to believe it's a vacuum leak. Other than that i love the car and agree in recommending it as a first car.

    I've had my 2010 for 4 years and it has not broken down on me. In the past year I drove it on a 36 hour round trip to Vancouver then I drove it 11 hours on the highway to and from work up north weekly. These cars don't quit. When I drive this one into the ground I'm getting a new one for sure.

    Nice video, man! My college-age son drives one almost exactly identical (except for the fact that, sadly, it is not the Skyactive version, but it has the same wheels and it is the same color). Up until recently, it was my daily driver and I love it. Very reliable and easy and fun to drive. And I also think it still looks great in 2022. Thanks for sharing!

    2 year update. Car is still just as good as when I got it. I've put 40k miles on it and still haven't had to do any major maintenance to it. Changed the AC belt, oil ofc, and I'm fixing to work on some bearings (pulleys, wheels, ECT.) But other than the noisy bearings it's still holding on strong at 190,000 miles. Love that lil car.

    I'm in the process of buying a Mazda 3 I Touring with really low mileage. The rated torque is 148 lb-ft @ 4100RPM. Horsepower is 155 @ 6000. I can't wait until it comes in to the OH Carmax from the one in Delaware. Looks like new and has many features of the Probe SE's I've tuned. At 65, it's time to move from sport coupes to sport touring. Easier to get in and out of. Trucks are tall enough where it's hard to get a leg up anymore.

    Jason Mendez Im curious how much is the person selling it for? I’m sorry to sound disrespectful however I don’t want you to get screwed over in the end. Thing is with the Skyactiv motors they have high compression which if it ever breaks it could lead to an expensive repair. I would recommend maybe finding one with lower mileage. These cars are pretty reliable however I wouldn’t be too confident with one with 150,000 miles. Let alone with any car in general. Depending on your budget you can find a car that can be more reliable in the end than the Mazda 3. Personally before I got this car I was actually looking into Mercury Grand Marquises. They’re built really well and most of them are owned by the elderly so they have taken care of those cars fairly well. With the Mazda 3 with 150,000 miles I would personally stay away for it. Not because it’s a bad car but more than likely there could be some things that need repairs on it so it’s a huge risk to take.

  • @general_carz

    @general_carz

    4 жыл бұрын

    Jason Mendez to me personally that price is not worth with how many miles it has. I sold my mazda 3 with 87,000 miles for about 6,000. Yes it’s more since it has less miles but considering my car had 60,000 miles less than that car it wouldn’t be a good deal personally. You can find other cars for cheaper with more space and possibly more utility for that price. If I had 5,000 to spend personally I’d get a Grand Marquis because I’m a V8 guy lol but parts are super cheap and they’re very durable. However they’re other cars out there for a similar price that are really good as well. Good luck with your search man hope you find something great!

    I’d check the injectors and sparks plugs first and see if they’re okay. For $4,000 it’s not too bad. If the car starts up good and has a good idle it’s a good sign. If it shifts well and transmission does not slip it’s a good car. Those engines are fairly reliable but you have to make sure it was properly maintained otherwise it could be a car I would stay away from

    This car is perfect or try and get a newer mazda 3. More comfortable and newer features. You can also look for a civic or perhaps a Corolla if you want reliable car. I would go more for a mazda 3 or civic for fuel efficiency though. And they’re both pretty reliable too

    i’m turning 16 in march next year and this is a car i’m taking a look at, specifically the sport version it has 130k miles and is going for 5k im gonna be using it for going to school probably picking up my little brother and meeting up with friends and small stuff like that how would this hold up? Also what are some similar/comparable cars to this for less than 10k?

  • @general_carz

    @general_carz

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes indeed, I would actually look for one with less mileage. For 5k you can get a much better car. My mazda 3 was worth at least 6-7k with 87,000 miles. You could also look for a Corolla as well as a civic too. Not saying those are better I personally would go for a mazda 3 because it was way more fun to drive to me. That and the Corollas are very very VERY sluggish on take off. However I would look at other vehicles too for that price range. I believe you can get a car way better than that particular model. You could actually try and get a newer sport for less than 10k actually and those are better quality.

  • @general_carz

    @general_carz

    Depending on how the owner took car of it, it could hold up okay but I wouldn’t be too confident on it to be honest. Those engines are great however with high mileage they do start showing there age and you do have certain things to watch out for with the Skyactiv motors. I would try and look for one with less mileage if you can

    HONEST SCENTZ not bad at all. The mass air flow system does like to go out after 70,000 miles for the Skyactiv models. And to replace you have to get the specific Mazda one for the car which can run $100 however after that the car runs really good over 100,000 miles. All I had to change was the mass air flow system and I never had an issue after that

    HONEST SCENTZ Honda’s are great too I’ll be honest. The newer civics had issues with the new turbo engine but it’s a brand new engine so issues are more than likely to happen. But regardless Honda’s are great vehicles whichever you get. Personally I’m more of a Mazda guy but I genuinely like Honda’s and how they are.
