I have a 2011 base model mazda 3. Purchased new, it has now travelled 380000km, and still runs completely fine. Even the plastics inside hardly squeak or move, everything still feels solid. The Japanese build the best cars.

Honestly if anything I’m impressed. The material quality isn’t as high but considering this sounded better at 100k+ miles and 12 years old than some of the brand new mercedes, go mazda.

This car symbolizes a very rough time for Mazda. This is peak economy car, almost as bad as a Mitsubishi.

i mean, this car sat in the lineup with the facelift rx-8 and last/best speed3 along with the NC2 miata which was the highest revving of the NCs. they went upmarket in the interior over time but compared to the base model civics or corollas of the era it's a compelling option imo, mitsubishi comparison is a stretch@@sayhimatt

@@LivingTheDream77it’s an entry level vehicle from 2012.. 2012 wasn’t good for any carmaker. Go look at Mercedes.. what did you expect, Italian leather and crystals? It’s $7,000 for a reason, go look at newer cars.

Very ugly interior. So much cheap plastic. The 2000s wasn't a pretty era for car interiors. Especially from GM, Ford, Dodge, and Toyota.
