I have this car and as somebody who just wanted a nice looking decently fast and heck of a lot of fun to drive 40 miles one way to work each day I've enjoyed it so much. So if you're like me and you are not a super enthusiast or somebody who is looking to modify a lot of things don't pay attention to all the people bashing it :)

@@juandv930722 Well I ended up wrecking it (nothing to do with the car), but I drove it to 160k with nothing but oil changes and plug changes at 100k and it never once failed me. Thing was solid as a rock.

Just got one of these. My first manual car, and I love it. Really fun to drive, sporty for a Honda (not saying too much), and great gas mileage. Love it.

I bought mine last year for around $10,500. I actually went to a Subaru dealership, and after driving both an impreza, and a used Civic SI on hand through the snowy roads out here in Salt Lake City, I went home with the Civic SI. With good tires, it was just as fun time drive, and actually made it's way through the snow and ice incredibly well. It has excellent traction control, and the high revving engine and nice handling has made it a blast for my family and I to tear through the Utah canyon roads in this car. It's not a rocket ship, but you get a lot of bang for your buck, especially since I only have to fill the gas tank once every week and a half out here. Rock solid, reliable, and fun car. My brother in-law can't say that about his VW GTI. That thing has had so many issues, and so many costs to fix. My Honda just keeps on running fine....

I own 12' Si coupe and the gear box is like Butter! I dont know why people with an 8th gen complain that this isnt an Si because of a 7100K redline. Its better that you dont have to rev out the engine that much to go fast.

u should do a split screen when u do the exhaust so it will show both the dash and exhaust. saves time.

Compared to the Toyotas and Nissans of the time, I'd say the Civic was/is the best looking and most entertaining car in the category. Light, nimble, responsive, reliable, and efficient. Not fast by any means, but very fun and communicative to drive. Not to mention the tasteful mods and tweaks that can be done. Or the 99-00 Si which looked and drove fantastic. Its a very subjective thing; to each their own.

I prefer the pre 2000 honda civics. They went for a sportier feel and had a lot less weight. My friend has a 2000 civic SI and 1999 civic SI-R boosted to 220hp and they are a lot sportier and lighter. The downside for practicality is they're a lot smaller.

I love this car in terms of interior and the vtec is awesome. I just wish honda stepped up the exterior. They give ppl that "hop in are car and hit your head on the roof" look give ppl what they want make it look mean!!
