Damn. The Giants were having a decent season at 6-2 then went on their typical collapse. In 2007 they started 6-2 then lost the next game after, and in 2009 and 2010 and 2011 and 2012. All of those seasons they started 6-2 then lost the game right after haha. This game is what lead to the playoff miss for super bowl defending champion.

Still salty about this as a Giants fan. The division would’ve been a landslide if we won this game but the offense fucking fell asleep when they could’ve easily put it away. This team would’ve easily made it back to the playoffs if they weren’t so bipolar and didn’t play soft in games they should’ve won. They beat teams like the Packers and Niners by 20+ points but fell asleep in games like this. It was maddening

"The magic of RG3" this was simply infuriating at the time, that this guy is overhyped for something that has nothing to do with his actual job, does that thing badly, has an entirely predictable harmful consequence through a freak stroke of luck work out for his team, and the announcers praise him for it. Hell, RG3 was overhyped, just for winning the Rookie of the Year. If any Redskin deserved it that year, it was Alfred Morris. The relief of a rookie starter to have the kind of blocking they got, plus being able to put the game on the shoulders of a back like that, is huge. It's how Dak Prescott managed to pass himself off as a high-level NFL quarterback, coming in to take snaps behind 3 All-Pro lineman, and handoff to Elliot (also to just lob the ball into the air when totally out of options, and trust that Jason Witten will somehow come down with it and turn it into a positive play).

This was very Anemic Redskins team, poorly coached, if it wasn't for RG3 and Alfred Morris, they would gone no where. Kyle Shanahan could have been a better coach, but his dad would not allow him. The Redskins were successful when they lined up on a pistol formation and used the option read vast majority of the times. But Mike Shanahan was too stubborn, he wanted and convinced RG3 that he can become a pocket passer. RG3 was running for his life most the time, receivers were dropping passes. Unfortunately for RG3 he came too early to the NFL. Now more and more coaches are adjusting to mobile QBS. Gruden finished destroying RG3, he almost destroyed Haskins. Haskins all the way. And can't wait to watch the predator (Chase Young) sacking QBS. HTTR
