That little motor can go for 300,000 miles if you watch over the support systems. Had a 1990 Mazda with the same 1600cc dual OHC. Ticked along and was still going strong at 280k when sold, as the car interior and electrical stuff was coming apart. In that time it blew one water pump and two small plastic radiators till I replaced it with a racing oversized metal aftermarket. Stop it within a half mile of the overheat warning and they hold up. All Dads know the electric car can't come fast enough. Eventually every Dad hears, the light came on so I drove it right home as fast as I could (50 miles). Is it OK?

My last resort is just to get the whole engine area checked by a specialist or replace the throttle body.

Hello, good morning, I am a follower of your channel and I am contacting you, to be able to comment on the following situation that occurs in my vehicle, Ford mondeo mk2 2.5 v6, one morning the battery was discharged, without knowing how to change the battery, when month or so, the car stopped in full operation, it was as if the electricity had died, stop, giving it and giving it until it started, again as if the battery was without charge, it was only a month old, I changed the alternator regulator , and well, I bought it, it charges over 14.5V, and I considered the fault finished, one day cleaning the interior, I left the radio on, while I cleaned, and nothing a few minutes later, the voltage began to drop, less to less, until the battery was discharged at that moment, I was surprised because that had never happened to him, I did another test, with the battery charged again, I gave the contact, after a short time, equal to less to less , that in a moment the battery goes away, I recharge it, install it, and leave it and connected approximately 2 months, until I realized that the red light of the alarm did not blink, I checked it and discharged, that did not happen in the past either, it carried out the current leakage test with the multimeter, because I told myself that this would have to be a current leak, it is the logical thing to think, and what was my surprise, that the value it gave is 0.02 amps, with the battery just charged, so there is no current leak, I have also performed the voltage drop test and it gives 000v both positive and negative, and then what happens to it? I don't even know what else to do, regarding what I am explaining to you, I await your prompt clarification, please, greetings.

My friend had a old Mazda that he did a shitty with then he knocked the tire off the back after clipping another vehicle then he speed away dragging the rear tire by the E brake cables 😆
We saw you strip an engine mostly and that was it? And you was right about the music. Cheers for the heads up.

@1:50 holy crap! No kidding you overheated the car bro! That is what I call a blown head gasket! More like nuked head gasket.

You mean to say...the CUSTOMER overheated the car. This car is at my shop for repair.
What failed? Head gasket, cooling fan? I'm surprised how much Anita freeze and oil came out of that little oil pan.
I had a Fiesta in the workshop with the exact same problem. Block and head were scrap so I installed a good used motor.

@@flmmaz my customer opted for a used motor, the car was in terrible condition so she went with the cheaper option.... against my advice.
Next: Bore the cylinders, Oring, forged pistons, turbo.
Damn! i wanted to see you put it back together. How do i get back to tdc if i messed up on the initial? I received my tool today and the cams are coming off anyhow, just wondering how do you set the timing when all is lost??? 2015 fiesta 1.6 with vvt. I broght the engine up to tdc wondering are there two different setting. Pin is in #1 piston up. Will it work? My question is, how do i set the timing like if the belt broke and i was to install a new cyl head all from scratch?
Now the question is who or where does that coolant & oil mixture go to? No one will take it mixed.
I didn't know they made multi-colored coolant like that, I'll have to get some,,,,
@1:45 me after eating taco bell!
The only engine Ford tells you to scrap in the event of coolant intrusion, step 11 of the workshop manual, if coolant intrusion is found in cylinder, replace long block. Sucks, I really like the Fiesta ST
LOVE THE MUSIC. I REMEMBER THIS ON THE RADIO. HOLY CRAP. TOO MUCH COOLANT IN THE OIL OR NOT ENOUGH OIL IN THE COOLING SYSTEM???

The customer ran the car hot......way hot which warped half the internals of the engine. They then filled it with anti-freeze which went straight into the crankcase due to the inability to seal correctly.
how can you tell that it was over heated? Is that why the "oil" was not black/brown?
Hey bud been thinkin bout u. We'll have to chat soon! Hope u n urs are doin well.

Cool tunes.
wow i never thought that fiesta has a 1.6 engine. Ford only sells 1.2 and 1.0 in my country
What’s with the different colors of the coolant? Not circulating properly?
Is it still hot, using fan to cool it😀

This engine was ran so hot that the cylinders were egg shaped and you could barely turn the crankshaft with the head off.
is the fan on cause of the overheated engine?
Does Donna Summer know about this......god rest her soul.
I understood it was fucked when i saw like 10 litres of coolant coming out the oil pan.
Merci beaucoup
How on earth did this happend? I have never seen these engines with a blown head gasket! Or was is the oil cooler?

I saw him reply to someone else it was a bad radiator hose that coolant gushed out of.
That engine looks like minion xp
How many miles were on it and what caused the overheat? That's what I wonder.
@flmmaz

It want too bad on the mileage. ..dont remember exactly. They blew a radiator hose and continued to drive until they melted it down.
Engine blew up in dad's focus there was 3 days left in his warrenty... How lucky is that but when ford got it in they said they were putting a used engine in it with no warranty and insisted he signs for this he walked away and said he wanted a brand new engine with a 12 month warranty they laughed at him but a week later they called him and agreed to fit the new engine with warranty I think its disgusting how they treat people! If that happened to my mum she would have agreed and signed regardless really are con men
Hi, what's the name of the plastic box in the center of the bloc at 6:16 plz It's leakin oil, I have to change the gasket but I don't know it's name thx

I have a 2012 fiesta that won't give any codes but it's been lacking power.Had to replace the alternator once figuring that was the problem but nope car just keeps putting itself in limp mode. Not a battery issue or wires, not an alternator issue.Gave the throttle body a clean, that didnt do it.Went to ford dealer and they told me the alternator had to be replaced as well as the throttle body. This was before I replace the alternator.Anybody else have issues like this?? My last resort is just to get the whole engine area checked by a specialist or replace the throttle body.
1:44 ouch
The easy fix is to put motor oil in the cooling system

Whre are you at now? Full time instructor?
