Facts bro. This is literally my dream car. New ones are fine, but something about gen 5 hits different and 2012 was the culmination of that.

I’m about to buy one with 13k miles on it 👀
Just watched some of your older videos as I was thinking about buying a V6 S197 and building it for autoX. Just wanted to say, for a smaller channel you have really good video production quality. Was surprised to see lower view counts on videos matching quality of much bigger channels. Keep it up!
Love my Inferno orange 5th Gen 6 speed manual. Tons of fun and quick even with the V6. I get more compliments in that car than anything else I've ever driven.
What a great and honest review. Thank you for respecting the vehicle - especially as a mustang owner. Most guys I run into who drive mustangs aren't so impartial and fair.
This looks more muscular than the new camaros, which isnt always a bad thing, but cool!
You should top off videos with the cars revving that would be a perfect review imo
I just got my 2010 2ss last December. Only 19k miles at the moment and in almost perfect condition. I love this car sooooooo much. It definitely turns heads and gets alot of attention at shows even with it being 12 years old.

I don't think there's anything wrong with getting a car like this one as your first car so long as you respect the power that it has, which you seem mindful of already. Just be smart behind the wheel and you'll have nothing to worry about! I will say though, as a 25 y/o I am totally happy with my V6 Mustang. You don't need a big V8 to have fun, and in most cases you'll never even get to use all of the power that a V8 offers. I love my V6 because I can open it up, rev it all the way to 7000 RPM between shifts, and not be breaking the sound barrier by the time I've reached the rev limiter (or be on the way to jail)! It makes daily driving fun, gets good MPG, costs significantly less to buy and maintain, and still looks just as good as the V8 cars, and even corners better in most cases (less weight over the nose of the car)! The only downside is that you lose the V8 rumble (although any car can sound amazing with the right exhaust setup), and that you'll probably catch some flak from friends and keyboard-warriors for buying the underdog. I used to get a lot of that. Not so much now that I'm 25, though my comments section get's a little fiery sometimes... Anyway, I suggest you test drive as many different cars as you can so that you can make a well informed decision. You'll probably realize that the extra 80-100hp isn't worth the extra $5,000, $7,000, or even $10,000... Let me know if you have any questions!

@@GrahamCain definitely helped out man!!! @King-of-Collies

@@bbb462cid sorry I suck at this. I meant that a lot of previous owners pull their cars too much. You start to see many engine and transmission issues. It sucks too when they don’t disclose it. I’ve bought a 5.0 that was pulled to much and it had issues early on. My fault I’ll admit for not bringing a mechanic with me to check it out. Review?
5Gens are great. I own an example that's terrible though. 2012 1SS LS3. When you build enough cars, there will be some bad ones. It was never right from day 1, when it had 34 miles. Nobody can make it keep an alignment no matter what. Not GM, not independents, and I have other cars from GM that I drive on the same roads, no problems. And the rear window seal has a leak somewhere, from the factory, and it's been rusting the driver's rear quarter from the inside out since it was first washed as a result. But the car puts down 40 feet or rubber in a 1-2 shift. Please, spare me the internet lawyer routines. Been there, done that, read the warranty, made the claims, talked to GM regional, contacted GM corporate, YEARS ago. GM didn't have any interest in making it right. The key is "rust through the paint". It grew bulging cancer all over, but the paint didn't break. Honda or Toyota would have taken care of in in 2015 when the first rust bubble started pushing out the paint. They would have apologized too. GM is not Honda or Toyota.

Passenger side air bag issues and GM doesn't recognize as a recall. Luckily for me Ally extended warranty covered it. If you get a 2013 you'll have MyLink on the radio, the 2012 has an older style radio with only OnStar NAV offered. Other than those things, as far as USA muscle goes, 6.2 Camaro only bows to the Vette.
