just got done doing this on an E70 - I needed to take off the power steering and coolant reservoir to fit my hands in for leverage for get that lower hose from the upper radiator connected.

Damn that little hose with the clamp was the most annoying part of replacing the upper coolant hose by far. I can’t tell you how long I attempted to connect it with my hands jammed between and underneath everything else.
