It’s best to replace the section of wire that flexes with new wire the same gauge and joint with solder and shrink wrap

Have you dealt with an issue with this unit where you have to replace the gears? Apparently the factory ones are made of plastic and they wear out after few years. I'm trying to replace the gears and seeing if others had any luck with the repair.

@smity9089 I’ve done that job in the past, I believe I used a brass set the customer supplied me with, being that it’s been a few years I don’t have the procedure fresh in my head
